ROSCOE BLAINE
Age: 40
Education: Graduated top of the class from Oxford in '97 with a double major in Math and Engineering. Obtained a degree in Engineering at Cambridge in '00.
History: Roscoe was born to an unassuming muggle family in a north English industrial city. He has an older brother, Charles, 45, and a younger sister, Eleanor, 38. Their family was never particularly wealthy but his parents, Ellen and Horace, made the best of what they had; Ross never recalls being in want for anything or feeling out of place in the private school his parents placed him and his siblings in at an early age. His parents always emphasized education. His mother was a teacher, and she was intent on raising intelligent, well-rounded individuals who would make a difference in the world. Thus, Ross credits his parents for two very important things in his life; his good education, and his ridiculously good looks. His personality, however, was something that neither parent can explain.
Ross recalls spending most of his childhood and youth years reading comic books, playing football, and taking things apart. He was fascinated with the way things worked, particularly machinery, and he also enjoyed math. He was a smart young man who had a bright future ahead of him. He loved vanishing into the background and thinking, observing, watching. He loved emerging as something different, something shinier and more special than what his background suggested, even more. Two of his childhood heroes were Superman and Houdini; he admired both for their ability to disappear into an act.
He finished private school with top marks and moved on to Oxford University, then Cambridge, studying math and engineering. Such an education came with a price, however; shortly before he finished grade school, his father was involved in a car accident which left his legs paralyzed. He lost his job in a machinery factory and was confined to the house. This blow to their income meant that Ross would have to get a job in order to continue his education. He applied at numerous places, but due to the shaky economy and his own insistence on finding something "interesting," he couldn't find anything.
During one of his job searches, however, he was approached by a man who wanted to know if the seventeen year old would be interested in a job as a male stripper. His reaction? "Perfect!" Thus, the clever Blaine boy was plunged into a world of glittering night life, bachelorette parties, and women who shoved phone numbers into his underwear.
He never told his parents what he did, simply that it was legal and paid well enough for him to make it through school with the help of scholarships. For fifteen years he worked the strip circuit, becoming one the best acts in England. However, age, clashing egos, and a string of reckless behavior eventually forced him out of the business. He now works a variety of random and downright obscure jobs, including human statue, Irish mafia chauffeur, fortune cookie writer, chicken sexer, and carney (ride mechanic).

Personality: Ross' is a curious soul. He's interested in a wide array of subjects, but rather than applying the knowledge to intellectual heights, he prefers to use it in everyday life. The real world is more important than theory. And although he's frequently a flamboyant showman, he has an unnervingly good intuition about people that serves him well. He takes apart people's expressions and body language the same way he used to take apart car engines and toys. Roscoe is
