About Backseat Driving
This thread is a place for members who are interested in contributing to AG to find ways in which they can. Most, if not all, of the following contributions are simple and won't take much time. All of them make a HUGE difference in the quality of the site, as well as the admin work load. Spiv and Carmen would love it if every member found a few things in this thread they'd be willing to do; once you find something you like, go for it!
As always, the admin strive to make AG a place where every member matters. Thanks for your help!
General- Welcome/Help new members: Say hello to new members in the cbox, post in their introduction threads, and try to answer any questions they may have to the best of your ability. Always be polite, even with the howler monkeys.
- Review the site: Post in the AG Survey thread and let the admin know what you think about AG.
- Contribute to the plot thread(s): The admin don't want anyone to feel left out, ignored, or excluded. You and your characters have something to offer to the site story; discuss the plot in the main plot thread or other threads in the Threading Center, and get your characters involved.
Advertising- Topsites: There are icons at the bottom of the page which leads to a topsites listing. Vote for AG, bump our site up in the ranks, and increase visitor traffic.
- Forum advertising: Copy the advertisement codes and paste them in other RP advertising forums. Make sure that you read the rules of each place you advertise at. The admin generally use 'After Graduation: The Fourth Unforgivable' as the advertisement topic title.
- Word of Mouth: If you have any friends you think would be interested in AG's craziness, invite them to the site and show them around.
In-Character/Archiving- Write a character history: You can write a brief summary of your character's time at AG in the thread Dramatis Personae. This is handy for new members and old members who can't remember all the plottage; it's too much for the admin to do by themselves, which is why we ask you help us out with this.
- Create a character timeline: The Timeline O' Doom is another handy thread which is impossible for the admin to update by themselves. Post your character timelines in it and help write the history of AG.
- Stalk Adopt-A-Thread: Check out Adopt-A-Thread if you have an open thread or are looking for an RP.
Features- Featured Member: This is a feature by the members, for the members. If there's someone you think has gone above and beyond the call of duty, let them know by submitting them! Check out the Featured Members thread for a form and previous featured members.
