Well, folks, this is Sam again, and I have a new character. Sebastian Kent. Slytherin, '16; he's 20, with a Muggle investment banker father and a stay-at-home mother who is in the pureblood Burke family. He's a bit hard to describe; click the signature for a link to his profile. Basically, he still lives with his parents (OK, it is a very large house); he's working at the Prophet (trying to get a business section up and running, but there's so much news about that he'll probably end up doing more investigative stuff... I don't know... should thread with Carmen, probably!)... and in his free time he likes to charm people and attract girls. That said, I'm still not sure of his sexuality. Hm.

So socially he's pretty easy to predict: he tries to charm. He'll get along with you, probably, so I'm up for threads like that...

I'm also thinking he might interview some of our MANY shop-owners who are in on illegal dealings, perhaps try to expose some of them using aforementioned charm. He's pretty savvy economically, so if he saw some records, he might begin to put things together. And then someone could try to kill him.

Er, you guys may have figured out by now that I like crime drama.

I'm also thinking Sebastian needs some male friends who are willing to actually befriend him eventually, not just stay on as vaguely manipulated acquaintances. It's just an interesting dynamic to consider. He doesn't let people in easily, because he's not really all that... well... interesting, just immature and rather weak. Better to be mysterious, he thinks... well, I want him to grow up. So that's my planned character arc.

As for little plots, the reporting thing ought to be pretty exciting. He's also never held a steady job, so it'll be fun to watch him struggle against his native laziness...

So that's his character, and I hope it makes sense. Anyone want to thread? I'm still testing the waters with him, so I'm flexible here. :)
