History:
Jillian McHarlan was born in a little town called Jubilee in Ireland. She lived there her whole life, growing up with friends and two parents that loved her. When she came of age, she was sent to an Irish school of magic where she spent two years studying and slurping up the knowledge that was given to her.

But then her world came to a crashing halt when He came into the picture. He father, a wizard, traveled to England and became an Auror where he assisted in helping to keep evil wizards at bay. He left his daughter and Muggle wife behind in Ireland, trying to keep them safe. Life went on for her as normal until Jillian was in her fourth year of school. One day she received word that her father had been killed by dark wizards and that they were coming to hunt down Jillian and her mother.

Devastated by the news, Jillian and her mother shunned the rest of their family (for their own protection) changed their names, and had Jill switch schools. She became Jillian Willis. They had kept her first names and taken the first name of her mother’s father. Together they moved to a Muggle town near Dissendium Academy. There, she finished her schooling and applied for a job at the Irish Council of Magic. She worked there as an operative for counter-intelligence for seven years.

At the age of twenty-six, she married a man named Paul Doyle, an Auror just like her father. They seemed like a perfect match for each other, always laughing and joking with each other. For seven years, she lived happily with him, enjoying her life and her work. Things just couldn’t stay happy for poor Jillian and before she knew it, the same dark wizard that had taken her father’s life killed Paul too.

Furious and heart-broken, she was swept into despair and grief over what had happened. She quit her job, stopped eating, and just vegetated for six months. Her mother was there for her though, always the one to help her see the bright side of things. It was during this time that Jillian began to realize all the things that life had to offer her. And although she had lost someone very special to her, she realized that she had to move on.

Jillian then applied at her old school for a job. She took the place of the Charms teacher at the age of thirty-six. That was her life for the next twenty years. Her students adored her and generally everyone she met felt the same. When the whole revolution business started, Jillian tried to stay out of it and keep the peace amongst her students. But soon it became clear that that simply wasn’t an option anymore. Being half-blooded herself. Jill obviously took the side of the revolutionaries. First she stayed at the school, trying to thwart the attempts to brainwash the undecided children into committing nothing shirt of genocide. But soon it became too much and in 2011, Jillian left Dissendium and took a good chunk of the staff and students with her as well.
The next five years were spent fighting and generally beating up the “bad guys”. Jillian Kicked butt and was a major part in the Revolution. She was a major part in hiding escaping muggle-borns and half-bloods as well as setting up the communication network between the other free blood fighters all around Ireland. But tragedy struck again just when Jillian least expected it. The purists attacked the muggle village her mother lived in and slaughtered everyone in it. Her mother was already on her deathbed and then to have these men come and kill her mother devastated Jillian and she fled Ireland just before the Council Blood Bath.

The former professor traveled the world for the next few years, trying to forget all the years of pain she left behind in her home country. Now in 2018, she has decided that she is too old for that whole traveling thing and has decided that Ireland just had too many bad memories for her. And being sad and moping around was not something she liked to do. So England it was.

Jillian hasn’t really done much yet, having just moved into her little house in London but is debating on getting a job or find SOMETHING that could occupy her time.

Personality:

Jillian Doyle is a kind-hearted and happy person with a passion for learning. In constant quest for knowledge, she has discovered a love of passing it on as well. To her, learning is not just words that people feed you your whole life, but a journey you must take to find yourself and whatever answers you may seek. She is kind woman, always putting others before herself, even in the face of danger.

She has a quirky side as well. The witch loves, well, pretty much everything. She is a joke cracker and a sarcastic personality only assists in the hilarity that is her life. Her boisterous attitude only carries over into an optimistic outlook. She is still active at her age and loves taking walks and socializing with people.

She is a lovely listener and tries her hardest to help people out whenever possible. Although, she doesn’t take everything seriously all the time. Years of listening to children explain why they don’t have their homework toughens a person to a point to where even when a genuine problem might be plaguing someone; she dismisses it in that happy-go-lucky way of hers. By cracking a joke and giving a little nervous laugh, she lets them off and tells them that everything is okay.

Despite the tragedy and pain in her life, Jillian is always positive. She doesn’t believe in moping around and waiting for the happiness to come. She finds it. The witch is always smiling and her infectious cheerfulness is never depleted.

Appearance:
Professor Doyle is a woman. Obviously. At the ripe young age of sixty-three, as she will tell you, she looks great. Her originally dirty blonde hair is now almost completely grey. She wears it parted to the side, bangs hanging down to frame her face. Lately though, she has taken to temporarily dying her hair various colors. Why you ask? …No one knows but her.

Below the bangs lie her eyes. They used to be a deep blue, sparkling and alive. Now, they still hold their luster, but are two different colors. In an attempt to change her eye color to match a dress for a party, she attempted to concoct a potion that would change it for a few hours. Unfortunately, potions are not her strong point and something went terribly wrong. One of her eyes became suck that way. Permanently. So she now wields one blue and one green eye, often getting a few stares from those who pass her by. As a owner of hundreds of pairs of glasses, she is almost never seen with the same pair on twice. Some are tinted to cover up her unfortunate eye condition, turning her eyes almost black behind them.

A Smile is almost always found on her face, her lips parted to reveal white and shiny teeth. Her high cheekbones and round face give her a sense of beauty and wisdom. Another not-so-wanted sign of wisdom are the wrinkles that have come to invade her face. They love to pop up around her eyes and across her cheeks, revealing the fact that she’s been smiling since she was born.

She is a petite woman, the years of fighting and traveling tend to do that to a woman. She stands at about five foot four. It doesn’t bother her though, she holds herself proudly, with a good posture and a confidant stance. Most people think of her as much taller than she actually is.

Her dress is very varied. She’s been seen in just about every kind of clothing imaginable. She loves to dress up, down, and all around just for the heck of it. Jillian is not the kind of person who is impressionable by ‘normal’ standards of dress. Her love of dressing up also carries over to her physical appearance as well. She loves to experiment with different potions and spells to make her look different in some way. Some days, she will come in with a blue fire for hair, tattoos scrawled everywhere across her body, and dressed in a tight leather dress. Obviously, this doesn’t happen everyday and that goes to extremes but she still goes there… once and a while anyway.
