History: Ceirion James Edwards is the last member of a rather prominent – in Welsh wizarding circles, at least – Pureblood family, his parents both having died whilst he was a young[er] man. With most of his family's modest wealth used up to pay funeral expenses and to cover his father's debts, James was left in something of a pickle.

So, after selling off most of his family heirlooms James decided to open a small publishing house dealing mostly with specialist wizarding literature.

James attended Hogwarts from 2006 to 2013 as a Ravenclaw, something which his mother (a fellow Ravenclaw herself) was rather proud of. His father, having been home schooled, had no particular fondness for any one house but was rather pleased that James graduated with the marks that he did.

Meredith and Yvette Edwards died in the summer before James's seventh in some sort of magical accidents – the details of which have never been released to the public and are something that James keeps secret. Rumours flew this way and that about some sort of foul play involving Dark magic or something of that nature but these were confined to tabloid publications such as The Green Lady or The Morning Oracle.

James somehow managed to bring himself together to complete his seventh and final year at Hogwarts even amidst the accusations of Dark magic and the never-relenting attention from the people his father had owed money.

James graduated later that year with his NEWTs and immediately used his father's contacts – those who weren't owed money, at least – to open up a small publishing house which has received some moderate success in the five years since its founding.
Personality: All at once James manages to be rude, kind, considerate, arrogant, modest and selfless. An intelligent, down-to-earth young man with at least some ambition, James is proud of himself and who he is. James had always had a great interest in history and languages; he learned French because he was interested in its differences and similarities with English and Welsh, his native languages. James enjoys the pursuit of knowledge for knowledge's sake and is always surprised when people express distaste at the thought of school or learning something new.

James is somewhat a lover of great thrills, going so far as taking part in some rather extreme sports and has a great love of the unknown, though this is limited to new experiences and not to the shrinking divide between the muggle and wizarding worlds.

James is both politically liberal and conservative at the same time – he believes in equality for all but within reason. He would prefer that muggles and wizards remain seperate, and wholly so. James is known to be rude and abrasive to those he considers unworthy of his attentions but also has time for most people, even to the detriment of his own work.
Appearance: James has longish, light-brown to dark-blond hair that he puts into a variety of styles, depending on who he's with and what he's doing at the time. Some time ago James left the annoying robes of the wizarding world behind and generally opts for muggle clothing – though, of course, for formal occasions he prefers dress robes.

James has a pair of blue eyes and a rather masculine face coupled with his toned body – something that he's proud of and has worked rather hard to get.
