Title: Hello!

James Edwards - August 3, 2008 10:36 PM (GMT)

Welcome to After Graduation! Why don't you tell us a little about yourself?

Well, my name's Ewan and I found the site earlier today and just knew that I just HAD to join. so here I am!

We love you already. <3

Now that you've told us about yourself, why don't you tell us about your character? Here's a quick summary sheet to make it easy.

Describe your character in less than a paragraph.
James is a nice guy who can be rude and abrasive at times. He enjoys doing new things and is a bit of a thrillseeker though of an occasion he enjoys relaxing. He takes his job quite seriously, sometimes to the point of not having fun. He enjoys helping others even though he has something of a distaste for ... a lot of people.

What's your posting style like?
My posting style varies a lot, though I generally devote my text to thoughts than I do to actions. It doesn't take me too long to make a post but sometimes it can take a while.

What sort of plots or roleplays are you interested in? Serious or light? Long-term or short?
I'm interested in both short and long term roleplays, both serious and light.

Fantastic! Now I hope you've prepared yourself. You're about to be bombarded with welcomes and thread requests from many wonderful roleplayers.

Ron Weasley - August 3, 2008 11:12 PM (GMT)
My name on cbox is Roe and I play 2 canon characters who came out of Hogwarts in the same year and are 38 years old:

Ron Weasley .... current ..... but we don't know for how long .... the Deputy Head of the Department of La Enforcement .... Level 2 at the Ministry. Since Harry Potter's disappearance Ron hasn't been himself .... tends to be a bit emotional and impulsive ... even with his superiors. He's sometimes referred to as being "on the edge" by others. He just came back from a self-imposed leave of absence after turning down being Harry's replacement as Department Head. He really isn't fitting back in too well yet.

Neville Longbottom ... Nevv has been the Professor of Herbology at Hogwarts for 15 years, after being an Auror for 5 years. Was hero in the 2nd Wizarding wars, when Voldemort met his demise. He married the former Hannah Abbott, who is also the landlord at the Leaky Cauldron. She is expecting twins in a couple of months around Halloween. Neville is still a bit of a lost soul as he is wondering if he's done the right thing with his life.

Not much of a prospect for rp .... but now you know ... LOL

Have a great time!

BTW .... if you haven't done it before you might re-enter your intro according to the template that's available in introductions ... laters

James Edwards - August 3, 2008 11:17 PM (GMT)
I've got lots of time so I'll probably go and do that. Thanks for the heads-up, too :P

and while I don't think our characters would have much cause to meet [though if Neville ever wants to publish a specialist book about herbology...] it's still nice to know something about them. :P

Ron Weasley - August 3, 2008 11:19 PM (GMT)
No problem .... didn't think our charries would have much contact ... just providing intro info ... good luck and have fun

Calixtus Ferox - August 3, 2008 11:36 PM (GMT)
Hey, there. I'm Sam. There are currently two of us, but I'm the one not called Other Sam, because I was here first. Got it? Get it? Good. :P

I'm a college student, just finished my summer job (tour guiding), and I love both roleplaying very quickly (seriously, my response time is 'day of'--but no pressure) and, recently, making graphics.

I play about a billion characters. Well, four. I think a few might have decent cause to RP with you, and certainly a few might get on with James.

E.B. Braun: Auror. Inept, but good-natured. OK, not totally inept. He's still learning. He's two years older than James, so they might have known each other in school. Did James play Quidditch? E.B. was on the team fifth and sixth year, and did awfully, but had a lot of enthusiasm. He's also quite moral, and, despite his bungling, does take his job seriously, so they might get on. He's also very friendly.

Calixtus Ferox: You can call him Cal. He's a Squib, a researcher (and works for the bad guys cooking up spells/potions), his off his nut, and he's... reclusive. I'm not entirely sure there's potential for RP there, since, well, if he knows everyone on the site, it becomes rather out of character... but he's my favorite character to RP. He also hates almost everyone. They could bond over, er, hating everyone. It is possible that if your guy works for a magazine that publishes theoretical transfiguration or potions-work, Cal would send something in to him. If you'd like to RP with him, I'll cook up some reason; I tend to be good at that.

Sebastian Kent: Also a journalist, works for the Prophet. He's a bit of a ne'er-do-well, but he is ambitious; just incurably lazy, though almost no one knows it (good at projecting an image, he is). He's just a year older than James, and a former Slytherin (but his dad's a Muggle mogul). Doesn't that roll off the tongue...? Ha.

Augustine Askew: Another blood purist. He likes people superficially, but he has a lot of anger issues. He doesn't really spend his time with the upper echelons (his favorite after-work activity is underground dueling--for money, naturally), though he does have decent connections. I haven't RPed him yet, but he interests me. If you like him, we can RP.

Well, those are my guys. Let me know if you're interested in some sort of RP.

Welcome to AG! It is indeed a lovely place.

James Edwards - August 3, 2008 11:47 PM (GMT)
James has a good case for knowing both EB and Sebastian though a good case could also be made for him knowing the other two, too. He never played Quidditch as part of a school team but he did play as an amateur quite a bit. Perhaps they'd know each other from James's foray into the Quidditch world?

Calixtus Ferox - August 3, 2008 11:50 PM (GMT)
Sure--he and E.B. might be Quidditch buds. They could hang out and listen to games on the Wireless, or play a pickup game or two on weekends. I've set up E.B. as having friends, so, really, about time he got a few more of them...

As for the rest, if an idea strikes me, I'll PM you, and vice versa, yeah?

ED: oh, and if you do that conservative paper (great idea), Sebastian would be very much against it, and Augustine would be very much for.

James Edwards - August 3, 2008 11:53 PM (GMT)
Sounds like a plan, I think! James doesn't have any particular friends so I guess this would work quite well.

He's interested in playing the game, so that would be quite a good thing.

Marcus Morgan - August 4, 2008 12:10 AM (GMT)
Hello! My name is Kerri. I play two characters.

Ireland Morgan: A steadily falling off of her rocker, Obliviator. She's spent so many years being forgotten that now she doesn't think that anyone would ever notice her. (She's an introvert, so you can see why.) She's currently cooking up a crazy plan to poison some smuck to make him love her.

Marcus Morgan: Ireland's older brother. He works at Gringotts, but thats just a cover. He's really hired muscle. So if James needs anyone beat up, Marcus is his man!

James Edwards - August 4, 2008 12:13 AM (GMT)
Ireland sounds like a ... nice person! Not someone who James would ever notice... but maybe he would. It depends, I guess. Maybe she can slip something into his drink? :P

As for Marcus... I don't think James requires any hired muscle right now, but maybe in the future? Who knows what will happen?

Emily Webb - August 4, 2008 01:05 AM (GMT)
Hi there and welcome :D

I only have Emily and shes the owner of the Apothecary in Diagon. Mostly a loner with a few friends she is now getting out more and meeting people. Soon to be seduced into the underworld but that is another story.

She played Quidditch for Ravenclaw though think she was couple years older and both her best friend and boyfriend came from Slytherin. So she mucked around with Slytherins a lot ( that's another story that ended in her killing her mother LOL)

Not sure if they would fit in but who knows. I always like to think, maybe not now but you never know whats gonna happen in the future. :P

Dixie Greene - August 4, 2008 01:12 AM (GMT)
Heya (yeah, i'm still here, though I still haven't posted for Apllo :() Anyway, welcome to AG.

I'm Cait, and I play...currently... just Dixie.

She's a single mother of a four year old boy (Will) and she lost her husband before she gave birth to Will (Adam died in a freak accident if I remember correctly). She owns a clothing store in Diagon Alley called Lovely Lumos! I can't really think of a reason for James and her to get together and talk or whatnot. So, if you think of anything, lemme know. :)

Alessandro Staughton - August 4, 2008 01:47 AM (GMT)
Hey! Im Kelly, and currently I only play one character:
Ale who only graduated one year after James did, though he was in Gryffindor. Ale was also on the Quidditch team for a couple years, so if James likes the game they might be friends. Just pm me if your interested in rping sometime :)

James Edwards - August 4, 2008 09:32 PM (GMT)
Thanks for the greetings everyone!

I can't see a concrete reason for James to know either Emily or Dixie, though his premises would be in Diagon Alley [or so I'm thinking at the moment] so maybe they'll have seen each other on the street?

Though sometimes he likes to sneak off to the Leaky Cauldron to hide from people who need him for various things so maybe they could run into him there?

As for Alessandro... well, James did try to get to know the Quidditch players from all the house teams simply because he has an amateur interest in the game. Maybe there's a connection there? They're in completely different fields of work though so I don't suppose they'd have much in common in that regard.

I look forward to rping with everyone in general though.

Heather Knowles - August 6, 2008 05:41 PM (GMT)
Hello and welcome! :)

Heather: She's a bit of an anti-muggle person herself, but keeps most of her opinions silent because she knows what things like that can do to people... can kill people, she's seen whats happened in Ireland and with You-Know-Who. However, she might be a closet reader of some of his purist publishing.

Danika: She's here as a rep for the Czech Republic in England. She really had no standing when it comes to blood purity, but she's from Durmstrang, so she's often shocked when muggle-borns show great power. She probably will not run into him.

George Weasley: 'nuff said. :]
