Title: Reintroducing
Description: It's easier for me ...
Kiyoshi Komatsu - August 13, 2008 12:55 PM (GMT)
Hi guys! Long time no see? And hello to all the new members for whom this thread is actually for. I'm actually an oldie here but I've had a long holiday away and this is definitely the easiest way of dumping myself back on the site without going through too much pain. Laziness is me. I'm also called Nat if you were wondering. I have a grand total of ... *pause* six characters. Had to look that up ... gah, it's been far too long.
Here it goes- character list.
Aleksandra Mikhaylova: Your local mafia boss. If your character is prone to skulking around Knockturn Alley or a bit of smuggling, I'm sure they'd run into her or do business with her. She's a toughie with a soft gooey centre manifesting as a motherly disposition. As a general rule, she tries not to smile if the person she's talking with has known her less than three weeks. She's determined and ruthless when it comes to fulfilling goals and is not afraid to resort to violence to eradicate obstacles.
Celeste Le Cordier: Evil politician type with diplomatic immunity thrown into the mix. Smooth talking, manipulative and a high ranking official, she seems to have it all. Her role as French Ambassador allows her to live the good life with her Pureblood background ensuring she always has wealth behind her. While working in diplomacy, she is actually a fascist and Pureblood fanatic but is happy to bide her time until the opportune moments arises to exert her influence. For now, she's happy flirting and trying to find a rich/powerful partner.
Dorian Walters: A werewolf who doesn't know it- a recent Muggle Cambridge grad who got bitten at a not-so-legal rave. He's a bit of a recluse but opens up in the presence of alcohol. He's a workaholic and a bit of a nerd, but is also your classic shy English Gent with the education to boot. He's starting to see magical things so a few run ins with magical folk might be in order. And someone needs to find out he's a werewolf before it's too late!
Kiyoshi Komatsu: An impending rock star who seems to have no manner of luck at all. He is extremely accident prone and is also a worrier which tends to exacerbate the situation. And with band mates who enjoys playing all manner of pranks on him, it's a wonder he's still around. Kiyoshi is a very enthusiastic and childlike person who is fun to be around and likes to put a smile on everyone's face. Despite his weakness to temptation, he's a very caring individual who tends to put himself last in his list of priorities and he doesn't really look after himself right. He'll probably end up falling into your character at some point ... or asking them to help him back into his apartment.
Lucia Archer-Chase: An Auror with Napoleon Complex and a pathological liar. She's a halfblood who wishes she was Pureblood and takes up those mannerisms in favour of appearing slightly more upper class. Her humour is very sarcastic and dry and often at the expense of others, but can always be counted upon for a good time if she's deemed the person worthy enough to be an acquaintance. Find her at the Ministry or trying to block out the stress of her job at the pub.
Teddy Lupin: Metamorphmagus and arse. He's a marmite man- you either love him or hate him. He has a front to protect himself that is often misinterpreted as arrogance and his constant joking and immature humour can be irritating. To those who can stand him, he's loyal and uplifting and would do all in his power to stop harm befalling those he loves. At the moment, he's concentrating all his efforts into finding Harry Potter ... with little success. I'm sure he'd love any help and I would love any hindrance ;)
Phew. So that's that. I'm pretty much open to any plottage so get back to me via reply to this thread or PM. It makes me feel loved :D
Mackenzie Dalton - August 14, 2008 02:36 AM (GMT)
Let's see... I think I came after you left. My name is Reg and I am the unofficial brownie giver-outer to new people *gives you a brownie too* because you haven't been here in awhile. And they are the brownies with chocolate, vanilla, caramel, and cinnamon in them, I might add.
But I have a few characters of my own at the moment... here goes...
Mackenzie Dalton: 19 year old blind guy. Petty Thief and WWN Radio Personality. He's an ex-Gryffindor but acts like anything but that. He's snarky, impatient, stubborn, tries to get his own way, and can be very mean. He also likes to beat people over the head with his cane. A lot. Well, that's if they annoy him anyway. He is also very protective of those he actually cares about and is really a very nice guy... if he trusts someone enough.
And this is what I can think of for him:
He might hear something from Kiyoshi's band and like them (he loves rock music) and get him or the band or whomever into an interview or something. You know, try and get it a bit more well-known. But apart from liking the music, I'm not sure if Mack and Kiyoshi will actually get along.
He also probably knows Teddy because... to my knowledge... they are the same age... and were in the same house, so they were probably dormmates. But I'm not sure how they would react to each other either. Part of me thinks that they could be really good friends, but I'm not sure. What do you think?
Scout Vinter: 32-year-old Healer at St. Mungos. Ex-Ravenclaw. One of those smart people who are ALMOST crazy. He's nice, but has little to no tact or common sense... so he can get a little mean, but not intentionally. He also stutters and is very clumsy. He has a daughter who is 4 years old and her name is Addie (technically, she's his niece, but that's another story for another day).
And what I can think of for him:
Scout is a muggleborn, so he might run into your Dorian Walters a bit - maybe they could run into each other after Scout gets out of work but before he can get home to change into regular clothes. And I think the hospital uniforms are sorta a cross between wizarding robes and muggle robes OR some kind of wizarding robes, so that might be interesting with what questions could come up from Dorian's side.
Yoshi Takenaka: 54 years dead wandering ghost. He died when he was 23, so he's technically 77. He's shy, but curious. He tends to ask a lot of questions - so much it can get a bit annoying. He also is a great story teller and will often tell a story to anyone willing to listen. He's a very friendly guy... after you dig past first his shy behavior and then his slightly annoying questioning behavior. And, before you ask as to why he's wandering, it's because he was attached to a person when he came back, and that person died but did not come back as a ghost. On top of that, he did kind of come back to try and save someone's life (it... didn't really work...)... So basically he's stuck here now.
What I can think of for him:
He's a bit naive so he could be used as a spy for your Aleksandra on occasion. But he'd have to think she was all right to actually do it.
Otherwise... I don't know where he would fit much, really.
Calixtus Ferox - August 14, 2008 02:47 AM (GMT)
Ahoy! I think a few of my charries might interact with yours. And welcome back. :P I'm quite eager to meet you. I'm Sam. I'm a 20-year-old college student with, as the cbox will bear witness, far too many vices. In any case...
Characters!
My two favorites first.
Calixtus 'Cal' Ferox: Only the most awesome Squib ever. Even if most characters will not agree. He's a Squib researcher who works for pretty much every criminal in London, so it's good odds he'd work for your Russian mobster chick. That is, if she'll have him. He's rather a genius, if that helps, but, of course, lacking in the whole 'actual magic' department. He trades his potions and spells for the actual... performance of said spells, when he needs them. He's very... hard to get along with, not to mention lacking in basic social graces. Like hygiene. And the ability to remember pants. He's also a drug addict. But very charming if you like the incurably obnoxious... I suppose... anyway, a good possibility for RP, I think... oh... and most recently... he has developed an odd obsession with Jasper Christie. Not even sure what the hell's going on there, since I didn't think he was gay to begin with...
Oh, and because he's a Squib, he's connected in the Muggle world and might well know Dorian, too.
Elior 'E.B.' Braun: Auror! Of randomly mixed but completely Jewish blood! Would not like Lucia in the least, as he's very pragmatic and fair-minded and doesn't give himself airs at all. He would, however, stare down her blouse if the occasion presented itself, though he's trying to control himself as he's dating Constance Fallon. Whatever that is. We still don't know where it's going, if anywhere. In any case, it might be fun to interact somehow. He'd also likely like Teddy Lupin (Cal would experiment on him o_0).
Augustine Askew: Big into Pureblood supremacy. Duelist (possibly hired thug? Want one?). Worker for the Ministry. Former Felix Felicis addict (recovered). Read profile for more info, it's too complicated. o_0
Sebastian Kent: Prophet writer. Rich spoiled halfblood with successful CEO father. Flirts with everything female, some things male, and some trees. Fun fact: has had syphilis. And he's only just in his very early 20s. Might, again, know Lupin.
... that's about it. I'd love to RP, your characters intrigue.
Constance Fallon - August 14, 2008 02:50 AM (GMT)
Obviously we have lots of plots already, but I have a new character you don't know yet!
Margot Blanchard, age 18, is a Muggle with the capabilities of a medium. She is calm, intelligent, and American (three things that don't often go together); she's traveled to England to pursue a photography career and also to develop her connection to the "spirit" realm. She’s currently employed by Atlas Caedmon as Rudolph’s translator and babysitter. She'll [eventually] hook up with paranormal investigator and wizard huntress Penny White.
So mayhaps we can play her and Dorian together? *glomps* I'm glad you're back!
[EDIT] Actually, you might not know Con either. I forget how long you've been gone!
Constance Fallon, age 24, is a no-nonsense Auror. Her world view is very black and white and she has a rude and abrasive sense of humor. Her family was murdered in her seventh year, which is why she became an Auror. She’s currently sort-of dating E.B. Braun.

Grrr. Just lost post. Am annoyed. Idea of doing it again too daunting. Therefore, I'm PMing my replies. *rolls sleeves up* Just a moment longer, I promise!
Heather Knowles - August 14, 2008 03:16 AM (GMT)
Hey! Welcome back!
Heather Knowles She's the witch that's working on a werewolf cure. I think I've mentioned her a while ago. I know it will take some time, and an extremely random meeting, but Dorian Walters and Heather thread would be very fun, and have a little plotage. :)
Danika Loda She's the Czech rep in London. Here to represent/keep an eye on the English. She's a pure blood, and a graduate of Durmstrang so she's never personally known a muggle born, but she had nothing against them, or people of mixed blood. But she does think muggles are rude, and need to stay in the dark about magic. A run in with Celeste could be fun. :)
George Weasley nuff said me thinks.
Kate Derum - August 14, 2008 03:21 AM (GMT)
Kate and Ki had some topics going :] And Kate and Teddy were friends. If you have any more plot ideas, PM ME!
Wendell Darrow - August 14, 2008 03:35 AM (GMT)
Hey Nat!
Since you left I made a new character, so I figured I'd post in here.
Penelope White: She is a muggle paranormal investigator. But her grandmother was a witch and when she died Penny inherited all of her stuff (thus why she is interested in the paranormal). It is her express desire to uncover the magical conspiracy. So she could be interested in Dorian...or really any witch/wizard she stumbles across.
Oh! And I've been wanting to get Lizzie Darrow involved with the Syndicate. *much plottage in my head* So lemme know what you think!
Kelsey Andersson - August 14, 2008 11:38 AM (GMT)
Hey Nat...welcome back! I'm Jemma...
I only have one charrie here at the moment
Kelsey Andersson: 25, former Hufflepuff. Kelsey was born to two Muggles, Laura and Matthew Andersson. They fell in love during High School, went to the same College and fibe years after graudating the two of them got married and had two beautiful children - Matilda (Mattie for short) and Kelsey. Mattie was one year older than Kelsey and at the age of 11 Kelsey received a letter from Hogwarts inviting her to study there. Her parents were proud to have another Wizard in the family. She became a Hufflepuff like her sister. At Hogwarts Kelsey made many friends; friends who would be there for her through thick and thin and would care for her very much...as she did for them. Laura thought that both Kelsey and her sister should get a Muggle education too, so at the some time as being at Hogwarts, the two of them were being sent Muggle school. Kelsey enjoyed this a lot, after finishing at Hogwarts Kelsey went to a Muggle university and studied Muggle History. This was when everything changed, another Magical war had broken out and Kelsey and her family were in the middle of it. Matthew sadly died that same year, due to being so proud of his daughters he joined the Muggle branch Magical police. He died in Leicester Square, London. Matthew was helping the Wizards fight againest the Dark Wzards. After the war had ended, Kelsey taught at Hogwarts for a few months but she was always reminded of her father; it did not also help that she felt like he was being watched everywhere she went, she decided to apply for other teaching posts. Kelsey hopes to return to Hogwarts someday, as that was where she felt safe and working at her best. Currently Kelsey is working in the Ministry of Magic, in the Magical Accidents & Catastrophes department. she is the specialist in Muggle Items. Kelsey is smart, nice, thoughtful, patient, sensitive, and likes to joke around. But when she get’s past her pressure point, she will explodeswith anger. She's ambitious, helpful and caring with it comes to toher people. By nature, Kelsey is an academic. She loves to learn. At times, Kelsey is reminded of her past and then becomes depressed; but this does not happen as much since she worked at Beauxbatons in France for over a year. When it comes to love and romance, she falls in and out of love very quickly, at her age she should be looking for a man to settle down with...but Mr Right has not yet arrived.
Ron Weasley - August 14, 2008 08:11 PM (GMT)
My name on cbox is Roe and I play 2 canon characters who came out of Hogwarts in the same year and are 38 years old:
Ron Weasley .... current ..... but we don't know for how long .... the Deputy Head of the Department of La Enforcement .... Level 2 at the Ministry. Since Harry Potter's disappearance Ron hasn't been himself .... tends to be a bit emotional and impulsive ... even with his superiors. He's sometimes referred to as being "on the edge" by others. He just came back from a self-imposed leave of absence after turning down being Harry's replacement as Department Head. He really isn't fitting back in too well yet.
Neville Longbottom ... Nevv has been the Professor of Herbology at Hogwarts for 15 years, after being an Auror for 5 years. Was hero in the 2nd Wizarding wars, when Voldemort met his demise. He married the former Hannah Abbott, who is also the landlord at the Leaky Cauldron. She is expecting twins in a couple of months around Halloween. Neville is still a bit of a lost soul as he is wondering if he's done the right thing with his life. It also looks like he's about to face a major tragedy, and have a darker view of things.
