Helllooooo AG! I'm Jenn, or Jenny, or Niffer and sometimes Q. I'm 21 and I'm going into my senior year at a University which I will not name. I major in comparative religion and folk lore (whoohoo Old Wives Tales!). I like spend my spare time hunting for dumpsters to live in once I graduate and planning my escape to Mexico, where I will avoid my creditors. I love movies and TV shows that tend to get canceled after 7 episodes. I'm basically a child trapped in this weird almost adults body and trying to make an escape. I have an unhealthy thing for Gene Kelly, and Noel Coward.



Describe your character in less than a paragraph.
Not so little Veela in the great big city. Self assured and curious about just about everything.

What's your posting style like?
I'm fairly quick, depending on length. I think everyone is like that right? I try to make dialogue and action equal but Shallah will likely be less verbal just because shes used to confusing humans when she tries to speak to them. Her brain just works differently. Its all situational.

What sort of plots or roleplays are you interested in? Serious or light? Long-term or short?
As long as it makes sense I'm really game for anything. I don't want to limit myself to one type. Shallah is a mercenary so I guess I'm looking to get her into the crime aspect of the site, but I also think the terrorist plot is really interesting. She sees things differently because shes a completely different species and I'm looking for all kinds of situations to explore that. Long or short term.

Hi, Jenniff! I'm Spiv, one of the admins here. I'm really, really incredibly tired, so the most I can do right now is offer you my list of characters. Plottage escapes me.

Lucy Ballantine, age 28, is my first, my darling, who I've been playing for years now. She is a recent newlywed, her husband being Dermot Ballantine. She is Irish and a former Free Blood revolutionary who teaches Muggle Studies at Hogwarts.

Logan Fletcher, age 26, is an Unspeakable, one of the ones working on the fourth unforgivable. He's going to get very screwed by the whole debacle, but will come out of it alright and as a changed man. Logan's pretty hard to get along with sometimes; he's too intelligent for his own good and it makes it hard for him to interact with most people.

Edward Garrow, age 29, is the Junior Undersecretary, and the bad guy behind the fourth unforgivable. He has a massive temper, is a raging alcoholic, and is obsessed with his wayward wife, Ivy Ballantine (long story there, but it involves the Irish Blood Revolution, which ended about five years back). Despite all that, he's a charming and well-liked politician, though his exterior is starting to fray a little bit. He employs Logan Fletcher, Astrella Snipe and Calixtus Ferox to work on the fourth unforgivable and other less-than-savory endeavors.

Will Channing, age 25, is the assistant to the Head of Magical Law Enforcement. He's basically a go-to guy for the Level Two kids, since he's pretty willing to help out anyone who needs it. He's a member of an unofficial "Boy's Club" featuring Wendell Darrow (criminal), Jasper Christie (black market criminal) and Apollo Sinistra (fashion guru). He's really just a lot of fun. As the Head's assistant, he tends to show his face just about everywhere on various Level Two errands. He’s currently investigating the murder of Judy Baines with E.B. Braun.

Constance Fallon, age 24, is a no-nonsense Auror. Her world view is very black and white and she has a rude and abrasive sense of humor. Her family was murdered in her seventh year, which is why she became an Auror. She’s currently sort-of dating E.B. Braun.

Patrick Everard, age 20, is pretty ambitious, but in more of a criminal fashion, and will probably be following in the footsteps of Jasper Christie. Regardless, he's very charismatic and a lot of fun, as long as it's playtime and not business time. He has a job at Dervish and Banges but is also sort of an unofficial curse breaker for the Russian Syndicate, a crime mob operating out of Knockturn Alley. He was sort of dragged into it.

Margot Blanchard, age 18, is a Muggle with the capabilities of a medium. She is calm, intelligent, and American (three things that don't often go together); she's traveled to England to pursue a photography career and also to develop her connection to the "spirit" realm. She’s currently employed by Atlas Caedmon as Rudolph’s translator and babysitter. She'll [eventually] hook up with paranormal investigator and wizard huntress Penny White.

Agatha Jarvey, dead, is a ghost who haunts Jarvey Estate. I don't think they'll interact, unless you goes to the estate very often.

We do have that idea which sprung to life in the cbox of seeing whether or not Shallah's veela-ness affects Will...so at some point, this will happen.

Okay so here goes the character list (don't worry it's shorter than Spivs...lol)

Artemis Sinistra: Co-owner of Sinistra's Secondhand Shop with her twin brother Apollo. She is the more level-headed one of the two and takes care of the business aspect of the shop. She has a ridiculously terrible dating history (been hit on by a walking skeleton, and her current interest is Logan Fletcher...who is developing the fourth unforgiveable).

Wendell Darrow: A well known criminal/black-marketeer. He is currently in jail for pinching some wedding presents, however he is going to be broken out soon. Then he is going to OD on polyjuice potion and go undercover as an auror. He spends most his time hitting on members of the BHL (Brunette Hotties League), especially Sofia Robards. He is basically a flirt, but he's reaaaally bad at it...romance novel reject like I said earlier.

Elizabeth Darrow: Wendell's younger sister who has recently run away from home. She's going to end up following her brother into crime...but get in over her head. She's got an extremely fast (Veela-like almost) temper. She often starts quarrels/fights over seemingly insigificant things.

Penelope White: A muggle paranormal investigator. She inherited her grandmother's things (grandmother was a witch) and now she's out to uncover the "magical conspiracy" she will end up working with Margot Blanchard who is a medium.

So yeah...I don't have a lot of ideas at present. However, I think seeing Wendell's reaction to a Veela would be quite hysterical.

*coughs* Anyway, here goes nothing!

Mackenzie Dalton: 19 year old blind dude. Ex-Gryffindor. Radio Host and Thief. He's snarky, impatient, stubborn, judgemental, and quick-tempered. He also tends to beat people with his cane a lot. He probably would not like Shallah... mostly because, quite honestly, she would cloud his brain so much that he could not use what little senses he had left. Therefore, he would probably avoid her after meeting her once or twice or whatever.

Scout Vinter: 32 year old Healer. Ex-Ravenclaw. Basically one of those nearly crazy smart people. He's very nice, though has no tact or common sense. Because of his lack of common sense or tact, he can hurt people sometimes, but it's not on purpose. He also has a 4-year-old 'daughter' named Addie (she's really his niece) whom he loves dearly. Shallah's affect on him... would confuse him. Mostly because I've noticed that Scout is rather confused already - even to me. I can't tell if he's homophobic or homosexual or both, to be honest. I could see Scout saying something along the lines of 'I like her... so I can't be...' Or thinking that. But I'm not sure since he is so confused on this matter. Maybe we could thread and see what happens.

Yoshi Takenaka: 54 years dead ghost who looks about 23. He's a nice guy, though very shy and curious. He asks a billion questions at a time. He is very big on story telling... and is basically one of those wandering ghosts because he was attached to a person when he died, but that person died so now he can basically be any where and every where. He'd probably do anything she asked of him. Anything.

Lucy Ballentine- I used the Irish Blood Revolution for convenience and the fact that it was in cannon but its a possibility Lucy might have met Shallah in passing. It would be something interesting to explore but thats really all up to you.

Poor Logan seems like hes trapped in the department alot toiling. I can't really see them running into eachother if he doesn't get out much. I doubt Shallah would be loitering around the ministry often. Edward seems like a really neat character and if I have Shallah become a gun for hire in the terrorist plot would they end up meeting? Also it seems he was somehow connected to the Blood revolition so theres that.

Will Chaning- Well I think the CBOX convo says it all. We have to have a thread and play with the poor things mind. I'm sure we could think of something else for them to do but the comedic value is well worth the thread.

Constance Fallon- hmmm

Patrick Everand- I can definately see these two interacting. Shallah can't use magic in the same way and to the same extent as wizards so she has to use other methods. If he works in Knockturn Alley theres a chance he can get her weapons and potions that can assist her.

Margot Blanchard- A muggle? Interesting. I don't think Shallah's had any experience. If she starts haning around in the Wizarding world with Atlas theres a chance they could meet. But I can't see Shallah going into Muggle London, she has enough trouble already.

Agatha Jarvey- not likely. I don't think drab abondoned homes are her ideal place to relax.

Artemis Sinistra- Shallah finds muggle things really fascinating and she travels rather light. I could easily see her dropping into the Sinistras shop and collecting some oddities. Like undergarments, she doesn't understand those at all.

Wendell Darrow- Bad pick up lines + Veela +charming powers. this pretty much must happen, for the same reason as the Will thread. Shallah can sense magic at a different level than a normal human I think someone ODing on polyjuice potion would amuse her to no end. Maybe he could try and steal something off her and she'd be so perplexed she wouldn't even be angry

Elizabeth Darrow- I don't think they would get on. Teen angst and teen attitudes in gereral annoy Shallah. That being said she can have a quick temper too, I don't think it would be a good mix.

Penelope White- Cool. I don't think Shallah would leave the Wizarding world though.

Scout Vinter- Shes very interested in Wizard notions of healing, because they're so different from Veela methods. I'd love to thread and see what happens.

Yoshi Takenaka- Anything huh? He sounds like an interesting character. Since he can go anywhere they would be more likely to run into eachother, more likely than if he haunted some alley corner or something at least. Let me know what you think.

My name on cbox is Roe and I play 2 canon characters who came out of Hogwarts in the same year and are 38 years old:

Ron Weasley .... current ..... but we don't know for how long .... the Deputy Head of the Department of La Enforcement .... Level 2 at the Ministry. Since Harry Potter's disappearance Ron hasn't been himself .... tends to be a bit emotional and impulsive ... even with his superiors. He's sometimes referred to as being "on the edge" by others. He just came back from a self-imposed leave of absence after turning down being Harry's replacement as Department Head. He really isn't fitting back in too well yet.

Neville Longbottom ... Nevv has been the Professor of Herbology at Hogwarts for 15 years, after being an Auror for 5 years. Was hero in the 2nd Wizarding wars, when Voldemort met his demise. He married the former Hannah Abbott, who is also the landlord at the Leaky Cauldron. She is expecting twins in a couple of months around Halloween. Neville is still a bit of a lost soul as he is wondering if he's done the right thing with his life. It also looks like he's about to face a major tragedy, and have a darker view of things.

Kelsey Andersson: 25, former Hufflepuff. Kelsey was born to two Muggles, Laura and Matthew Andersson. They fell in love during High School, went to the same College and fibe years after graudating the two of them got married and had two beautiful children - Matilda (Mattie for short) and Kelsey. Mattie was one year older than Kelsey and at the age of 11 Kelsey received a letter from Hogwarts inviting her to study there. Her parents were proud to have another Wizard in the family. She became a Hufflepuff like her sister. At Hogwarts Kelsey made many friends; friends who would be there for her through thick and thin and would care for her very much...as she did for them. Laura thought that both Kelsey and her sister should get a Muggle education too, so at the some time as being at Hogwarts, the two of them were being sent Muggle school. Kelsey enjoyed this a lot, after finishing at Hogwarts Kelsey went to a Muggle university and studied Muggle History. This was when everything changed, another Magical war had broken out and Kelsey and her family were in the middle of it. Matthew sadly died that same year, due to being so proud of his daughters he joined the Muggle branch Magical police. He died in Leicester Square, London. Matthew was helping the Wizards fight againest the Dark Wzards. After the war had ended, Kelsey taught at Hogwarts for a few months but she was always reminded of her father; it did not also help that she felt like he was being watched everywhere she went, she decided to apply for other teaching posts. Kelsey hopes to return to Hogwarts someday, as that was where she felt safe and working at her best. Currently Kelsey is working in the Ministry of Magic, in the Magical Accidents & Catastrophes department. she is the specialist in Muggle Items. Kelsey is smart, nice, thoughtful, patient, sensitive, and likes to joke around. But when she get’s past her pressure point, she will explodeswith anger. She's ambitious, helpful and caring with it comes to toher people. By nature, Kelsey is an academic. She loves to learn. At times, Kelsey is reminded of her past and then becomes depressed; but this does not happen as much since she worked at Beauxbatons in France for over a year. When it comes to love and romance, she falls in and out of love very quickly, at her age she should be looking for a man to settle down with...but Mr Right has not yet arrived.

I am in the process of making another character, but I'm keeping it under my hat for a while...
