Welcome to After Graduation! Why don't you tell us a little about yourself?
I'm Nik. Though I've been forum roleplaying for some years, I'm still wildly intimidated by this board. Maybe because it doesn't ask half as much in terms of formality, but a lot more in terms of quality than any other board of which I've been a part. I'm excited about it, but I'm also afraid I'll disappoint.
I'm 22 years old, just graduated from the University of Pittsburgh in August, got married in October and moved across the country in November. I had stopped forum roleplaying for a long time after some fallings out on other boards, but now that I'm really far away from home and missing school and writing, it seemed the natural path. I'm really looking forward to playing with all of you!
We love you already. <3
Now that you've told us about yourself, why don't you tell us about your character? Here's a quick summary sheet to make it easy.
Describe your character in less than a paragraph. She tends to obsess, so be prepared. She's a very good cook and likes to share food, and affection. Don't expect her to remember anything important, and be warned that whatever's coming out of her mouth is only the tip of the iceberg.
What's your posting style like? With a character like Zoey, it will always take me less than a day to post a response, unless there's something crazy going on in my personal life. With her, the posts will be mostly inner monologue and thought-based because she's the kind of character that narrates her life and goes off on tangents. Because of this, they'll tend to be a little on the longer side, but I don't expect to get a response that's of equal length. No pressure, you know. She's pretty affectionate in most cases, though, so expect at least a little action. Lots of smiling, and touching, and teasing.
What sort of plots or roleplays are you interested in? Serious or light? Long-term or short? All types. That's kind of a cop out, though, isn't it?
With Zoey, more light-hearted stuff than anything else probably. It's difficult to make her take things seriously. Everything with Zoey is short-term, in the end, but personally, I prefer long-term plots. Really good friends and really bad enemies. She's got an addictive personality, so if you wave something shiny enough in front of her, you'll have her hook, line and sinker. Until it's no longer shiny.
Fantastic! Now I hope you've prepared yourself. You're about to be bombarded with welcomes and thread requests from many wonderful roleplayers.
