My names Matt, I'm from Australia and have been writing for a while now, its a hobby to me and I like to keep pretty relaxed about it, amongst other things I'm currently mid way through my third year at uni, working on a degree property. Outside of writing my hobbies are a range of sports, I'm still playing cricket during summer but have replaced rugby during the winter with golf as at the ripe old age of 21 my shoulders have given up on me. Other than that I occasionally work, I coach at my old school and do other odds and ends.



Describe your character in less than a paragraph.
David is a loner, thats about the long and short of it, he doesn't like other people much and sees himself as much better than him, he's arrogant to a fault. His life hasn't been easy and is hard and cold to others in response to the treatment he received, the good memories of his childhood were over shadowed by his adolescence.

What's your posting style like?
It varies, I'm just as happy writing short succinct replies that get the point across in threads that demand it as I am to write long descriptive posts. I tend to write a lot of one shots as I find it easier to progress plot points that do not call for other characters in that way.

What sort of plots or roleplays are you interested in? Serious or light? Long-term or short?
I go through moods of refusing to plan anything, to wanting every detail ironed out completely, I don't have much trouble poking fun at my own character and do it often, so the type of plots or roleplays that I'll enter with him will vary.

Hi! Welcome! I'm Apollo. I play:

Apollo Sinistra: Artemis' twin brother who pretty much knows everyone, has an obsession with shinny things, is a fashion writer for the daily profit, is going to have a love (or hate depending on who you ask) child with Carmen, has another side life of petty crime (like stealing magic carpets and the crown jewels) and will date about anything with legs and a decent sense of fashion. He also is co owner of Sinistra's second hand shop and can always be found there or the hospital due to some testing issues. Um... so i don't know if the two of them will get along but hey you never know. Any ideas you have let me know - open to about anything with Apollo there if you couldn't tell.

Sofia Robards: She is about to become department head and about to find out that her perfect boyfriend is the criminal she sprung from jail - major coverups will be running her life. That prefect boyfriend is an auror by the name of Dillan Wentworth who really is Wendell Darrow who Sofia thinks is dead till he is exposed. Not complicated at all right? Anyway if you work for the ministry which from your title I am guessing you do? Wasn't sure from your app they might have some interaction or another. Especially if he used to work for some underground russian organization and decides that rather than being an unspeakable he wants to be an auror. Once again let me know if you have any ideas. Cold meds make me a little bit unable to properly plot.

I also play Zippy Sinistra who is Apollo and Artemis' grandfather, a retired unspeakable that did a lot of work with spirits and ghosts and now talks to his invisible friends and sees things that aren't there. He's always up for bumbling about and making problems, giving cryptic advice, and offering to control his insane grandchildren. If David has any questions for him about his past work or something he will have great fun getting a straight and normal answer!

I don't mind planning anything at all, and even if they wouldn't get on at all, which I doubt they would since Apollo seems very out there compared to David who is guarded and quiet, but I don't mind a thread or a run of threads where they run into one another. I quite enjoy putting a character like David into situations that make him uncomfortable, and i'd say that would be the reaction that Apollo would get out of him. :D

David was working for that organization against his will, despite his big appearance and skills with a wand, all he really wants is a peaceful and quiet life, however that sounds boring to me, so I'll endeavor to make sure that that won't be the case for him. I'll keep a career change in mind but I think for now he'll go stay with the Dept. of Mysteries.

David isn't the sort to seek help, but I'm sure if they ever ran into one another and David found out that he was an unspeakable he would certainly take the opportunity to question him, if not about anything on the job itself, I'm sure he'd take the opportunity to question someone who got to work every day on mysteries.

Hiya Matt, welcome to AG! I'm Carmen, one of the site admin. I have a handful of characters to offer up for threads and plotting. :)

Ivy Ballantine: 28 year old Irish hit witch with a troubled past and penchant to get into serious trouble with seriously dangerous people. She's a good person with a strong spirit, and would be a good ally for David to have. Since she works on level two and there's been trouble between those two departments, I imagine that they'll cross paths at some point.

Dermot Ballantine: Derry is Ivy's older brother, recently married to his one Sue love, Lucy. He works in magical law and international relations on Level 5. Sort of like a UN position. He's another one that David may come into contact with through their work at the Ministry.

Carmen Snidgeton: Soon-to-be Editor in Chief of the Daily Prophet (she's going to kill off the current guy in a Tangled Thread). She's pregnant with the bastard child of the man she hates most in the world, Apollo Sinistra. She's also working with terrorists. Basically, she's not a nice lady. Wouldn't want to cross the Snidge.

Roscoe Blaine: Thirtysomething Muggle with a fierce sexual appetite and a different persona every few days. He has no place, really, but he likes it that way and he's a ton of fun. I doubt he'd come into contact with David willingly. Unless there were "favors" involved. Or a job.


Anyhow, those are my characters atm! I also have a young American character who will be David's age that's in the making. She will be very fluffy compared to my other characters. I'll definitely post more about her when she's created.

Hey I'm Jemma...

I've currently got two characters here:

Kelsey Andersson: Kelsey is smart, nice, thoughtful, patient, sensitive, and likes to joke around. But when she get’s past her pressure point, she will explodeswith anger. She's ambitious, helpful and caring with it comes to toher people. By nature, Kelsey is an academic. She loves to learn. At times, Kelsey is reminded of her past and then becomes depressed; but this does not happen as much since she worked at Beauxbatons in France for over a year. When it comes to love and romance, she falls in and out of love very quickly, at her age she should be looking for a man to settle down with...but Mr Right has not yet arrived. Kelsey is the youngest of two girls (sister is Mattie Andersson) and is cousin to Nessa and she is currently working on Level Three of the Minsitry as a member of the Accidental Magic Reversal Squad.

Derek D'Ambrosio: Derek is a six foot and 2 & half inches tall guy, with large hazel-green eyes; which any girl could fall right into. He has short, bed-messy brown hair, he doesn't usually use any product unless he is on a date or something. Derek is always clean shaven, unless it is the morning after the night before. Derek is known for his athletic build and is huge smile, even though he is naturally slender, you know that he is strong. He can bench press 290 lbs and deadlift about 300 lbs and also Derek is very fast for his height. Derek has recently had to have glasses, not telling anyone...but he has chosen to have contacts. Derek is a good looking boy, but he has never really believe it. When he was younger he uses to have acne, but due to the wonders of modern medicine his skin is all clear. Derek has a few childhood scars and no holes where there shouldn't be holes. He does have one tattoo of scriptive writing; the word is 'Loyal' and it is on his left wrist. Derek is American and attended Tagetes Academy and graduated in 2014. Derek is currently the Quidditch world Cup Organizer at the Ministry.

Ivy Ballantine: Once I have David more established and I get a little better settled on the board I definitely wouldn't mind an interaction between these two, especially if there's some tension between the departments.

That sounds like a challenge ;) I don't mind the sound of an encounter like that at all, David wouldn't take a step back and petty fight threads are always a lot of fun. If you want then I wouldn't mind at all, thats up to you.

Roscoe Blaine: For someone that resents a lot of the purebloods, David stays where he is comfortable, and that is in the magical world while he is in London, so I don't know if their paths would cross, but if you're ever lacking in threads for Roscoe I'm sure they could briefly run into one another, I don't mind at all.

Kelsey Andersson: I don't know if they would really have much to do with one another in a professional capacity, however I certainly don't mind them running into one another outside work and seeing what happens. Let me know if you have any ideas!

Derek D'Ambrosio: I think these two characters have a little in common, however they won't be sharing hair styling tips as David just shaves his haha ;), though they both seem to have a background that isn't entirely a Hogwarts educations, so if you have any ideas let me know for these two!
