Hello all! My name's Colin, and at the ripe old age of 37 I am that rarest of RPers - male and old! I'm a Brit, but live in Spain where I teach English to the locals. Despite having been here for 12 years now, I'm still as white as a sheet and stand out like a sore thumb due to me dress sense, but Brits abroad love doing that, so no problem there.

Recently I've been thinking about teaching the Queen's English to people from the ex-colonies, so I can see I have my work cut out here!



Describe your character in less than a paragraph.
Bob is half genuine and half what he thinks he should try to be. He is friendly at the same time as being fairly private, generous to a fault and extremely intelligent. However, he is aware he also lacks 'emotional intelligence' and this fact in some degree accounts for his resistance to socialising in large groups and finding a job in which he could more or less work alone. He tries to be relaxed and project a confident air, but does let his emotions blow out every now and then in either flamboyant behaviour or introspective brooding.

What's your posting style like?
I enjoy the longer chains of RP with their lengthy, meticulously crafted posts just as much as I do lighter, more rapid exchanges so pretty much anything I suppose you could say.

What sort of plots or roleplays are you interested in? Serious or light? Long-term or short?
As above, I am game for any style, but do like to have both styles on the go at the same time for the variety.

Hey I'm Jemma...

I've currently got two characters here:

Kelsey Andersson: Kelsey is smart, nice, thoughtful, patient, sensitive, and likes to joke around. But when she get’s past her pressure point, she will explodeswith anger. She's ambitious, helpful and caring with it comes to toher people. By nature, Kelsey is an academic. She loves to learn. At times, Kelsey is reminded of her past and then becomes depressed; but this does not happen as much since she worked at Beauxbatons in France for over a year. When it comes to love and romance, she falls in and out of love very quickly, at her age she should be looking for a man to settle down with...but Mr Right has not yet arrived. Kelsey is the youngest of two girls (sister is Mattie Andersson) and is cousin to Nessa and she is currently working on Level Three of the Minsitry as a member of the Accidental Magic Reversal Squad.

Derek D'Ambrosio: Derek is a six foot and 2 & half inches tall guy, with large hazel-green eyes; which any girl could fall right into. He has short, bed-messy brown hair, he doesn't usually use any product unless he is on a date or something. Derek is always clean shaven, unless it is the morning after the night before. Derek is known for his athletic build and is huge smile, even though he is naturally slender, you know that he is strong. He can bench press 290 lbs and deadlift about 300 lbs and also Derek is very fast for his height. Derek has recently had to have glasses, not telling anyone...but he has chosen to have contacts. Derek is a good looking boy, but he has never really believe it. When he was younger he uses to have acne, but due to the wonders of modern medicine his skin is all clear. Derek has a few childhood scars and no holes where there shouldn't be holes. He does have one tattoo of scriptive writing; the word is 'Loyal' and it is on his left wrist. Derek is American and attended Tagetes Academy and graduated in 2014. Derek is currently the Quidditch world Cup Organizer at the Ministry.

Welcome to AG. You may call me Apollo. On a random note -being pale is fun cause if you ever get transported back in time people will think you are eccentrically dressed aristocracy, or so I like to tell myself every time I see the rest of the very tan world.

Anyway here are my three lovely characters.

Apollo Sinistra:Apollo's a wee bit older than Bob, a different house and all that jazz. Actually they are almost polar opposites minus the lack of emotional intelligence - everyone is happy in Apollo world. He's pretty much a fashion loving freak with a perchant for being talked into criminal acts, sleeping with anything, being as fun loving as possible, is a daily prophet writer (writes about fashion of course), and is the co-owner of the Sinistra Shop with his twin Artemis. I don't know if these two well ever come in contact unless Bob is in need of some flamboyant clothing or happens upon Apollo upon a party circuit. Open to any ideas you may have however.

Sofia Robards: A twenty something pureblood auror that is in love with a twenty something pureblood criminal named Wendell. Read herculean romance - in short he is wrong for her but they both fall for each other, he gets thrown in prison, she breaks him out, he fakes his death, she morns then dates him in his disguised form without knowing it and is just about to find out that the real wendell is not dead and is in fact the man she is dating so she's rather angry. Angry Sofia = violence. Did I mention she's the newly elected department head of the aurors? Approach her personal life with caution if you want to get involved otherwise I can see them knowing each other since they work for the same people. Dunno if you have any ideas but hey she can always use a bit more drama or another stable character in her life.

Zippy Sinistra: Apollo and Artemis' grandfather and a retired unspeakable that did a lot of work with spirits and the the like. He left his work after being requested to leave due to a bit of mental unhinging - kept and still keeps talking and seeing things that aren't there. Bob might have questions for the lovable coot but know Zippy is one to rarely give answers that make a whole lot of sense.

Anyway open to any ideas you might have with any of my characters! Once again Welcome!
