History:
Lola’s father Rich was a wizard and her mother Nora was a romance novel writer. Needless to say following their marriage many of Nora’s novels suddenly took a magical turn. Lola eventually received a younger brother most cruelly named Davis Davis. In general she had a relatively happy, normal albeit magical upbringing. Her father went away to work every day and her mother sat in her study working on her novels. Needless to say Lola took an early interest in romantic intrigues as a result of her mother’s peculiar occupation.
At the age of eleven, an excited Lola was packed on a train and sent off to Hogwarts where she learned magic. She did well enough in everything and excelled in nothing in particular. In fact the only thing she really excelled at was being nosey, and sneaking into parties in all four of the houses. She quickly became “the” source for gossip at Hogwarts, which made her a very popular source of information but not necessarily extremely well liked. So Lola made it through Hogwarts, and graduated with almost no career direction. So she ended up working several rather uninspiring jobs simultaneously. She waitressed at the Leaky Cauldron, she bartended at the Vault, and she worked as a sales girl in Madam Malkins. And on her free nights she partied until the break of dawn. What this really did was throw her in the way of the most varied clientele and more importantly the gossip! If she was bad in school she became infinitely worse.
It could have gone on in this manner for the rest of her life, except for a lucky happenstance. One day she was assisting a petite brunette woman, whom she didn’t know (a shock to be sure). And generally she chatted up her customers, because that usually meant they would buy more. This woman seemed more annoyed than anything else, but undeterred Lola continued on her prattle. And per usual it eventually descended into gossip. In fact she was able to reveal an interesting and shocking nugget of information about almost every person that entered the shop while she was sizing the brunette. And the brunette was suitably impressed, a rare thing. For her name was Carmen Snidgeton the assistant-editor for the Daily Prophet. And she offered Lola a job.
Personality: A nosey gossip in the extreme. And a terrible party girl.
Appearance: Tall, long dark brunette hair. Blue eyes. Stylish dresser – alternatively extra sophisticated or slutty depending on the venue.
