AUGUST 8, 2018: V. unusual patient. Mary Hopper, aged 53, h.b.. Extremely agitated & upset, claimed she was going out of her mind. Claimed someone was making her think & feel things she wouldn't. Showed no sign of mental handicap via physical brain, no traces of spell-work, etc.. Sent her home with gallon of calming draught & recommended week off work to rest. Results: inconclusive. Will follow up.
AUGUST 9, 2018: Elizabetha Backmoore, aged 33, m.b.. Tried on cursed dress bought from unknown cart in Knockturn Alley which slowly strangled her & would not come off by conventional means. Grey used spell reversal techniques to find root spell. Managed to find effective cutting spell before death. Results: patient suffered some brain capacity loss and bruises. Will spend two days in Hospital before returning home. Expect full recovery.
AUGUST 10, 2018: Apollo Sinistra removed eyeballs from head & stretched visular muscles by trying on pair of test 'Googly Eye' goggles from the Weasley brothers. Grey used spell reversal techniques to find root spell. Used Arto Arcero to reduce stretchiness of muscles. Results: some discomfort and stiffness, temporary mild blurred vision, but vision still intact.
AUGUST 11, 2018: No notable cases. Follow-up on E. Backmoore (9.8.18). Returned home fully recovered. Swore never to step in Knockturn Alley again.
AUGUST 12, 2018: Prevented a disaster when strange & ignorant girl tried to put on cursed necklace. Must contact dementologist to see if possibility of suicidal tendencies.
AUGUST 13, 2018: No notable cases. Follow-up on M. Hopper. Found in unresponsive vegetative state in home. Possible foul play. Contacted ministry, tried to contact Dept. of Experimental Magic but got no response. Was assured by Junior Undersecretary Edward Garrow that it was probably unsuccessful suicide after hearing details of case. No signs of attempted suicide on body, no traces of spell work, etc.. Will look for similar cases; new mental disorder?
