Hogwarts is a fucking madhouse; every dripping lavatory, every secret passageway, and every god damn classroom is overrun with representatives from the Ministry of Magic, perusing the castle's interloping corridors like they have every right to be in the fucking place. It's the Marauders seventh year, but instead of spending their numbered, bittersweet days on the Hogwart's lawn or hexing the piss out of smartass Slytherins, they're desperately dodging the many Ministry workers that linger everywhere, furiously scribbling suspicious behaviour onto undisclosed parchment. With Voldemort on the rise—with disappearances from both magic and nonmagical communities—the Ministry is paranoid as fuck, inducing the same fluttering suspicion onto the students of Hogwarts as their numbers invade the extensive grounds and classrooms in search of any Death Eater behavior. It's impossible to transform a desk into a pig with three Ministry representatives prowling McGonagal's classroom, scribbling away and excusing select students right in the middle of fucking class for interrogation. It's a madhouse—it's a circus.
