RISE IN HALF-BREED NUMBERS
The Daily Prophet, 4th June 2040
There has been a marked increase in half-breeds being branded over the last two years, with the new laws setting the half-breeds into uproar. It seems that the half-breed communities aren’t as pleased about the changes as the ministry are, and some have started fighting back against them. The most prominent change is that of werewolves, with more then three hundred new half-breeds being found around the bristish wizarding community. It has been recorded that most of the new half-breeds were indeed children, and this reporter wonders if the ministry should watch out. Are the half-breeds raising children to wage war against the ministry, and the magical community?
This may not be a case of the few giving the masses a bad name - three hundred is a massive sum for a 'few'. So we at the Prophet must continue to agree with the Ministry and it's action against half-breeds, and with the turning of children, especially agree with it's policies at Hogwarts.
Theodore Lupin, ex-auror and son of the famous freedom fighter and werewolf Remus Lupin, was available for comment but we did not consider the language used suitable for the Prophet. But needless to say, with two branded children currently attending Hogwarts, he is one of the outraged. We urge half-breeds not responsible for this rise in numbers to unstand the 'severity of the situation' as called so by the Minister herself.

OUT-RAGE
The Daily Prophet, August 27th 2040
Entering its third year under the new teaching staff, Hogwarts school of Witchcraft and Wizardry is ready to open its doors to a new flock of first years. Though there are still some that are not happy with the Ministry’s actions to aid the students, the idea of which was instigated on August 31st, 2038 by Ulysses Boot, Deputy Minister for Magic. “They’re putting too much restriction on the children.” One Molly Felton (35) wrote in to us. “When I was at Hogwarts, we were treated with less of a disciplinarian rule, and appreciated the teachers in turn for it!”
We would like to remind Mrs Felton, and in fact any other people who wish to convey their concerns about the regime at Hogwarts, that it is for the student’s own good. Since the staff at the school have been changed, students are devoting more of their energy towards studying and achieving good grades, and staying away from frivolous activities such as ‘rebellion’. As always, Hogwarts and the Ministry have the children’s best interests at heart.
Meanwhile, in accordance with laws 736 and 737, half-breeds are still being rounded up, branded and moved to the village of Oakshire-Upon-Tyne, which people are referring now to as ‘OUT’. As with the almost-new format at Hogwarts, many people are still objecting to the ‘prejudice’ with which the Ministry is showing half-breeds. Again, readers are reminded that the precautionary measures taken on the half-breeds are for the public’s own safety, not merely ‘prejudice’, as some are calling it.
