History: Born the second in a set of twins, eight measly minutes after his elder sister, Artemis, Apollo is the only son of Boreas and Diana Sinistra. His childhood was one that led the other members of his family to believe that perhaps the boy had been misnamed, though the family tradition of being named for a god or goddess of the sky had been fulfilled. The utter loathing Apollo had for his name as a child was apparent in his quest to find the perfect nickname. His sister’s suggestion of taking a characteristic of the god he had been named for had been met with a stony faced silence and toads in her bed. What seven year old wanted to be called Sunshine or Sunny by anyone other than his mother? He eventually took her suggestion however and decided upon Sol, Latin for Sun, though no one would call him by this – he had taken to long to find a nickname and so the name Apollo stuck much to his chagrin.
Apollo’s youth was ideal in a sense, having two loving parents and an extremely close relationship with his ‘elder’ sister. Granted the two had their moments, Artemis not always agreeing with Apollo’s idea of a good prank or his reasons for pranks. Pranks were done to amuse himself and keep boredom at bay. Changing his mother’s hair dye neon pink and setting up traps for unsuspecting visitors were not below him in any way and his urges to cause some mischief could only be tempered down by Artemis’s reason. Apollo found that listening to her was often wise – while she seemed the more angelic of the two, her moments of inspiration were always awe-inspiring when they occurred. He never got caught when Artemis did the planning, and as he got older he became just as sly but lacked her angelic aura.
When it came time to be sorted into houses at Hogwarts it came as no shock that the twins, no matter how close they were, were separated into different houses, Artemis into Ravenclaw, Apollo into Slytherin. There were whispers that the sorting hat was just trying to prevent another trouble making duo. People soon learned that the twins were very different from one another, with a few mischievous similarities. Artemis fit in with her peers, her odd quirks blending in with the Hogwarts community - Apollo not so much with his flamboyant muggle fashion often times peaking out from under his robes. The mission to prove to the other students his name was a misnomer became an obsession after his first year in which he was made fun of shamelessly for it. Thus the pale, mischievous, raven haired boy, with an affinity towards gothic and mod fashion stuck out and became well known in Hogwarts society, especially when one added his Slytherin status to the equation. He became one of those people everyone loved to talk about, either because of his antics, his outrageous amount of detentions, his strange outfits, or his dating habits. Though he never managed to really date or find the ‘one’ while at school, rumors about him flew and his supposed relations were with everyone from the hottest girl in his class (which he wouldn’t have minded has she been less of a prep) to the Slytherin quiddich captain (this would have been alright too had the captain not been male). His sister, a built in tutor or she who got her brother passing grades, would tell him these snippets during shopping trips. Had these rumors been about his sister the vain Apollo would disappear in an instant and in his place would be a wand wielding warrior – or something like that, he had yet to find the outfit he would need when it came time to defend his sister’s honor.
Needless to say by the time graduation hit Hogwarts had grown used to his style and pranks, and some teachers were rather sad to see the boy that was a ‘burst of sunshine’ leave. Had Apollo ever heard them refer to him as this he might have lost it, but he never did. The bright flamboyant boy now man never did realize that by acting against his namesake he was living up to it in another way. His charming nature, love of bright colors, and attraction to the arts made him more like Apollo than being athletic, orderly, and godlike ever would. His sister wisely never pointed this out to him either.
After leaving the school Apollo had no intention of getting a job, wanting to try out life as a gypsy only his sister talked some sense into him, claiming he could not afford to keep his closet up to date without a job - and she had a plan that would help him. Knowing his dear sister would never lead him wrong, Apollo threw in his limited savings to start a little shop of oddities in Diagon Alley – a little vintage shop where wizard and muggle things alike were sold. Clothes and accessories were his area while his sister took on the more mundane things like knickknacks. Surprising the shop, or more accurately its owners, were a hit, the younger crowd falling in love with the crazy Sinistra twins. They even had regulars, who came to check up on Apollo’s outfit of the day – the man unable to ever the same outfit more than once a month.

Personality: All the brains of the family – or at least the motivated ones that did well in a test taking environment, went to his sister. Apollo on the other hand never did well in school, this does not mean however that he lacks in intelligence, on the contrary he is quite quick to catch on to things, but its keeping him interested that is the problem. Anything is likable to distract him. The only reason he did well in astronomy is because his family had fed it to him since he was a boy – so it was a natural area of success. Muggle studies just fascinated him, their clothes and accessories making a lasting impact on his sense of self and dress.
Apollo is very mischievous and not being one to ignore his impulses he is frequently getting into trouble, this is probably because of his notable appearance – a red fedora and a black boa can rather large identifiers if one is trying to be sly about stealing the sorting hat out of the headmaster’s office…Thankfully Apollo inherited a good amount of charm is very outgoing. Where as his sister might be able to logically reason her way out of trouble, he has mastered the art of charming his way out of anything and into everything, a talent he has abused to the extreme at their shop. No customer can walk way without buying something and feeling rather pleased with their one of a kind item. Apollo’s outgoing amicable nature and lack of regard for what other’s think of his has gotten him many friends in life who might have otherwise been deterred by him other more flamboyant mannerisms. After leaving Hogwarts the cloud of gossip about him has only grown in size. Apollo tends to know everyone worth knowing and seems to be the fashion guru to most of those he has the privilege of knowing. None can ever get up the gumption to dress like him, but his keen eye for detail can put together everything from a causal conservative garden party outfit to a glam rock ski suit.

Appearance:
Tall, very pale, and pretty in an odd way is the best way to describe Apollo. Yes Apollo is pretty – not handsome mind, but pretty. Yes, he is a man, but sometimes he can be mistaken as a woman, his features being similar to his sister’s – only with a much larger nose – making his face very feminine in appearance. Artemis and Apollo could trade places without anyone noticing if they dressed each other…but it would go against Apollo’s dignity to pose as a woman for anything other than a prank and Artemis would never agree to it. Apollo’s hair is his point of vanity. His ‘styled raven tresses’ as he liked to refer to them, are his best feature, framing his face and drawing attention away from his ‘bulbous beak of a nose’. Not one for mincing words, Apollo can always point out his best and worst feature for the evening, which are constantly changing, though he will contest to loving his sister’s eyes, which his are a smaller scaled replica of so it would be safe to assume he loves his blue grey eyes.
Standing a good eight inches taller than his sister, being five foot eleven and extremely skinny, Apollo gives the appearance of being a walking string bean, all legs and arms. His tight fitting clothes often emphasize his slender build, for nothing is to tight for Apollo if its fashion, and he often times reverts to skinny jeans of various colors and patterns and a crazy shirt under his robes. His clothes sense while odd to wizards, would be considered extremely unique to muggles. He takes what he likes from both worlds and mixes them together resulting in unusual combinations. He has a slightly unholy alliance with glitter, while also managing to combine mod and gothic styles as well – resulting in an over all highly fashionable and intense getup.
