History:
Father: Xenophon, a high-ranking government official in Greece’s wizarding center, Athens. For years he presided over the Greek equivalent of the department of mysteries, cataloguing analyzing and researching the various mysteries still left over from the ancient Greco-Roman wizards. He recently retired from his position, saying that the work had become to taxing and expressing and interest in spending more time with his children and grandchildren.
Mother: Io, an inventor who threw her time and energy into the researching and bewitching of Muggle technology for the purpose of use within the wizarding community. She was and continues to be a strong supported of integration between the Muggle community and the wizarding community; maintaining a strong belief that the two societies had much more to gain from each other’s knowledge than loose.
Sibilings: One younger sister [single] and One Older Brother [married]
Older Brother: Ixion and his wife Celene both live on the island of Crete and work studying the last known colony of authentic Greek Harpies. He beat up on Hercules a lot as a child.
Younger Sister: She left school at age 16 in order to take a position as a junior secretary under her father. She maintained this position until her father’s retirement when she was offered and accepted a job within the governments international division. For a number of years she remained in Greece, acting as a guide, translator and escort for visiting dignitaries. Then came the disappearance of one Harry Potter, and soon after the assassination of the British Minister of Magic. Such an event naturally had a ripple effect on wizarding community’s nation wide and hers was no exception. There had been rumors that Greece intended to send a representative to look after actions in Britain and Zatana acted upon them. Directly after reading her parents copy of the Prophet (they had no less than 8 different papers delivered to the house daily) she owled the Pro Consul, requesting that she be the one to be sent to England. Her transfer was set in motion immediately and she boarded the first train to London.
Himself: Hercules grew up as the middle child. He was often forgotten about, and never doted upon. He never resented it, for he loved being alone. His older brother picked on him endlessly, but he kept a good relationship with his sister. He did resent her a little growing up. She was the perfect child in her father’s eyes. She was interested in politics, and Hercules, not so much. Their father adored the fact that Zanta went to trails and meeting. He was delighted when she took a job at his office.
At school, Hercules wasn’t the popular type. He preferred hiding away from the bullies who made fun of his glasses and name. He had a few friends, sure. They were the nice ones who stood up for him. They weren’t real friends though. They just felt bad for him. Hercules didn’t know why he didn’t have friends. He was smart, nice, and loved to joke around. He supposed no one wanted to be around a geeky kid named Hercules. Therefore, he studied and graduated from Athens Academy of Magical Arts with very high grades and a spot at the top of the class.
After graduation, the doors were open. Hercules could do anything with his life. He could become anything he wanted to. He sure had the grades for it. Everyone expected great things from him. His father pushed him into the government career. His teachers into, well, teaching. Hercules joined a nearby newspaper, where he wrote articles about thefts and other crimes. He didn't make many friends, as he was always caught up in work. The one person he did meet was Atlas, who he quickly became friends with. Somehow, Hercules introduced his new friends to his younger sister.
While it seemed like everything was going right in Hercule's life, but it wasn't. Hercules was frustrated, and hated his job. One day, at the age of 24, he quit his job, packed up, and moved to London. He finally knew what he wanted to do in life. He wanted to become an author.
After his first fictional novel was published [entitled Frankengoblin [a story about a goblin who created a monster]] his name became rather well-known. The money came rolling in, and Hercules found a wife. They were married and had two children, Mary and Daniel [ages 2 and 12 months]. He went with more traditional names. He knows what a name can do to someone’s life.
By public demand, Hercules is writing a second novel. As much as he’s trying, he can’t write. It’s been two years since his last novel was published, and he’s racing against time to write another. If only he could get some inspiration!
Personality:
Hercules is goofy, smart, a bit nerdy, and nice. He cares for others, is patient, and likes to joke around. His one downfall is his nerdy side. His wife said that’s why she fell for him, but he hates it. He can’t help the bad sense of style, glasses, and laugh, though. It’s just him. His other downfall is his temper. It takes a lot for Hercules to get mad, seeing as he’s patient. When he get’s past his pressure point, though, he explodes. It’s been happening a lot lately, too, with his second novel.
Appearance:
Dark hair, dark eyes, and glasses. Hercules is medium height, and a bit scrawny. He’s got a nerdy look to him, with his glasses. He wears whatever his wife picks out for him, too.
