Wharton vs Hagler... I know they fought in different ages under different rules, but Hagler was a new age glutton who became more intense as the rounds progressed and relected in the sight of his own blood.
James Wharton and Marvin Hagler fought in two completely different sports in my opinion. There is no real way to know how one would fair against the other in one particular form. Wharton was a great wrestler as well as a puncher, but he did have boxing skills like Hagler. And Marvin was a warrior, but he had never been in anything like he would see in a London Prize Ring fight. Prizefighting to me is not boxing, simply a distant cousin in my mind--similar to say cricket and baseball.
