Title: Sonics "Fairy tale" Games.

Do you like these new types of "Fairy-tale" like sonic games?

It's an interesting idea, but Sonic Team really hasn't done much good with it. I haven't played Sonic & the Secret Rings for more than a few minutes, so I can't really say much about it.
I have, however, played through most of Sonic & the Black Knight. My main problem with this game is the controls, they just feel so unresponsive. For example I can't seem to ever get a good combo going; I'm sure there's a pattern to the waggles, but I just can't find it. Although I really liked the level with the giant caravan on a big open plane, and the UI was pretty neat.
It's great that they're trying new things, but they really need to put more effort into it. :s_ehh:

Personally, I'm just against the whole idea. I mean, it was an interesting concept, but it just seems to be an extra gimmick to try and make up for the fact we don't get decent Sonic games anymore. I've made the point before, not just on the fairytale games, but on some of the mainstream ones-
Sonic And The Secret Rings - Um... yeah... great... Arabian Nights... but, y'know, I'm not really a fan of that. I'm a Sonic fan. I'm here to buy a Sonic game, not an Arabian Nights one...
Sonic And The Black Knight - Yeah, not getting this are you? I like SONIC, I want to buy SONIC GAMES, and however much I King Arthur interests me, I'm after a SONIC game, not a King Arthur one.
Sonic Unleashed - I love werewolves. I love Sonic. Let's not mix the two. I am here to buy a Sonic game. Now can you tell me when you're going to release a proper SONIC GAME!?

I honestly haven't played either of the games you mention, but I do actually know what they're about, and because of that I can say that I don't really like the idea.
I just think that Sonic games could have a storyline that's more original (You know, even if Sonic isn't known for the story of the games, I just think that the character itself wasn't made to take on stories like that). So seeing Sonic starring in games like that just makes me have the idea that the developers don't have nothing else to think of. Instead of making these games they should take more time and precision on making main Sonic games.

Yeah, mixing werewolves in the plot of a Sonic game isn't good. I mean I can see a fan-made game about Sonic during Halloween somewhat similar to that plot, but it shouldn't be an actual game.
