Man, I can't wait until this game comes out!

This game is going to be coming out on PS3 and 360 and yes I am certainly looking forward to it. Tho I'm kind of angry about Eggman's new look. I mean he's not even fat anymore, so how can he be the Eggman?

That is ture...the STH series seems to be loosing its childness and emerging from its cacoon, so to speak. This is going to be awesome...I hope...Silver looks kind of dumb, though...I mean...a hedgehog from the future? Hmph...

Well, we don't know the exact date though. At least I don't.

I thought it was coming this July, but it seems to have been delayed...anyway, we'll see...I hope it comes soon!

They made it go to September. They wanted both versions to come out on the same date. <_<

Oh, really? Hmm...well, then I can't get it until school starts, and it'll be harder for me to get it, then...

The current official date is November 17th, as said by IGN. That's also supposed to be the PS3 launch date, I think.

Would you guys happen to know of the 4th (5th if you count Amy) Hedgehog? If not, he's apparently Silver's mentor in the future, and is crystal-colored. His name apparently starts with M. (And the crud about it being a female named Nova is definitely false.)

I suppose Silver is going to be like Shadow, meaning that maybe after the game ends your going to see Silver go join the hero team and now defend everyone.... just like Shadow did beat the Ultimate life Form in Sonic Adventure 2 Battle.

Eggman looks like crap

I wouldn't say crap myself..... but he indeed no longer looks like the traditional Anime Robotnick. Slowly inch by inch they removed his original Anime look, and now have gone into a more generalized look for him.

Of course, the only Dr. Robotnick I apsolutely hated was the Americanized version of him, the one of the front cover of Sonic Tripple Trouble.

God.... what an awful looking Robotnick. <_<

This ones ok to me, even it is not as animish as it used to look. Though he does seem to be returning his old look in the sense that his head is starting to look like it again.

After all, the original designer of Dr. Robotnick will be helping in making this new Sonic game, so there has to be some sort of retro complexity in Dr. Robotnick.

Silver is very Mysterious Right now........ He Says hes looking for the Iblis Trigger ( The Gates to hell) But we dont know WHY he's doing it, maybe sonic will turn Evil and Silver has t stop him.

Actually I was told that he was sent to stop the Iblis Trigger.

I just hope they stop calling him eggman!

They aren't going to stop doing that, unfortunately, but both names are kind of dumb. Anyway, I agree...Dr. Eggman looks kind of funny compared to his original versions. He can't even be the "Eggman" anymore...he is slimmer...

You know, making him a bit skinnier is a great improvement in his stature. Gives him the more evil, and commanding look, though I think his head's a little bit too big for his frame, in that trailer...

Well, it LOOKS good, but I'm still very skeptical about this game. You probably won't blame me though after the recent games for the Sonic series. I've gotten tired of putting my hopes up and become disappointed once I play it. I'm not going to make any assumptions until it actually comes out.

As of right now the graphics are amazing and definatly a step up from what we're used to seeing. The framerate was nice considering the speed. I also agree about the different look for Eggman. Myself, I actually laughed my arse off when I saw him. This is definately a different path for the Sonic series, and I hope this time it's a less bumpy one.

I think he looks awesome. He looks real... Anyway that was a cut version of the trailor.

I know. Eggman looks more realistic, and I think that's cool. In fact, when you look at him on the game cover of the game his face looks a lot like his original version which I thought is really cool. I laughed because he looked really different and surprised me not because I thought he looked dumb unlike some people... <_<

Well, I'm not sure if it's going to be their ACTUAL game cover, but it's on the official Sonic site. I don't know why, there's something about Dr. Eggman that just seems to remind me of his original look from the chin up in that picture... (it's on the front of 'Sonic Games' page)

Dr. Robotnick being skinnier doesn't give me some "new found" respect towards him, or disrespect. He's just skinnier. I don't think the change destroys or helps him. It's simply a change to fit the games more "realistic stature. He's still Dr. Robotnick. Kind of chubby with a mustache and bald. Hence forth, the mad scientist Dr. Robotnick. Nothing less, nothing moe.


And yes, his head looks like the original Dr. Robotnick, more egg shaped. Probably because of the original designer coming in to help on this game.

since this about "next-gen" Sonic games and since you're all obsessed with the ones for PS3 and XBox360 does anyone at all think Secret of The Rings looks better, personaly I do, Sonic lives up to his roots AND his nickname the "Blue Blur" <_<

Sigh... yeah... I had a 1,000 word essay assigned the first week. :P

Anyways, I took a look at that game. The scenery looks amazing! This just enhances what was already carved into stone that I am buying a Wii. The only thing is... I don't know if it's just me, but for some reason Sonic's running movement looks a little awkward and slow for how fast he's moving.

in which, because I thats what I thought for StH, it just looks like he's going fast by moving his legs fast, but if you notice the camera, it's going like normal gameplay, but in SotR the camera actually fells like you're going 400mph and you're going to need reflexes :lol:

I know the camera is moving fast, but Sonic's legs don't seem like they're moving fast enough at the speed he is moving at. It's not a big deal though. I'll probably get used to it.
