Title: PICTURES OF BYZANTINE SOLDIERS.

Nice try for your mod, but I believe that the work on the Byzantines has not been very good. And just to give a little hint to you guys so you can make the game as best as possible, I am providing you with some pics of Byzantine soldiery.

Osprey´s Byzantines have been posted countless times, but I always like to see them...

The other pics look great as well, though a bid too heroic and absolutely inaccurate for the time of Constantinoples fall! ;)

Why isn't the Byzantine work good?

How did you decide that?

The soldiers I saw, were the variants of the soldiers of the late Roman Empire (4-5th Century).

These are medieval Eastern Roman troops. And therefore more suitable for the mod.

Sounds as you saw one of the older skoutatoi or Peltastoi Enoplioi designs? <_<

Take a look here:

Unit pics

As far as I saw there was no pic of skoutatoi there, but we had some at the Scriptorium looking very similar to to guy No 2 carrying the oval skutas and klibanion on the Osprey plates!
