Appearance:
With his statuesque build and unique features, Marluxia certainly does not merely blend in to his surroundings. Most noticeable are the shoulder length locks of dusty rose hair that frames his face. The pinkish brown hair falls in soft layers and could almost be said to have a rather feathery appearance. The face beneath is rather angular, with high prominent cheekbones and very defined features. His thin slanted eyes look like storm clouds, a deep blue that seems to have an almost navy purplish tint to them. His nose, like the rest of his face, is small and angular. His thin lips are most often pursed in thought, rarely opening to reveal his crooked and rather sinister smile. And even rarer is a genuine smile, Marluxia being so well practiced at keeping his effeminate facial features devoid of any telling expressions.

Standing at a respectably 6’ 2”, The Graceful Assassin’s physical stature certainly counts as exceptional. Muscular without being bulky, he could be described as rather lithe. Marluxia’s slender frame achieves a smooth balance of strength and speed, agility and power. And as his nickname implies he moves extremely gracefully both in battle and out. Despite his height, all his movements seem almost elegant and purposeful, without ever seeming awkward or nervous.

He wears the typical organization garb, donning everything from the black cloak to the black boots. If ever out of this uniform, Marluxia keeps his attire simple and unelaborated. He knows that he can look more then fine without frivolity.

Weapons:
A large pink bladed scythe with a slightly curved green handle that is about the same height as its wielder. It clearly requires both force and precision to wield.

Abilities:
((Death Scythe)) When his scythe is charged, a large beam of pink energy can be shot at his opponent. It is very crippling to his opponents yet with proper maneuvering can be easily avoided

((Razor Petals))An array of conjured petals rain over the surroundings, their razor sharp edges inflicting small amounts of damage but are extremely hard to avoid.

((Glide)) When in battle, Marluxia can quickly glide across the battlefield like many other Organization Members. It causes no damage, yet allows for him to move faster and dodge more attacks.

((Dark Portals)) As a member of the Organization, Marluxia can also travel through the realm of darkness to traverse either large or small amounts of space. He can use this to escape entirely from battle or simple transport across the battle field.

((Dark Fields)) Marluxia can fill the battlefield’s floor with dark force fields that repel and cause minor injuries to his opponent.

Magic:
Marluxia controls the element of Flower/Nature and his attacks are based on this power. While he can summon up various Plant life, the ability is much more powerful when coupled by natural surroundings.

Summons:
Can summon lower nobodies such as Dusks and various Heartless. Can also summon a large nobody that adapts his powers (Final Chain of Memories Boss)

Drive Forms:
Marluxia can fuse with his large nobody and it adapts his scythes and amplifies his petal and death scythe attacks.

Personality:
Marluxia never really becomes part of the team that Organization XIII intended to be. The neophyte is filled with ambition and lust for power that even the Superior failed to recognize. Yet this comes as no surprise due to The Graceful Assassin’s cool ability to stay completely composed. The Graceful Assassin uses any ways to achieve his means. And has proven his astute abilities at manipulation through long yet well thought our schemes. All drove out by his sense of self importance. Egotistical some may say, but he is not simply big headed. In his failures, which may be few, he tends to blame himself for oversights rather then others.

Number eleven does not share the cruel streak of his accomplice Larxene. Yet this does not stop him from goading his opponents, as he demonstrates by taunting Namine’s false hopes and Vexen’s faulty experiment. Yet this taunting is like all things he does purposeful, dragging them into doing exactly as he wants them to. Yet this calmness can be broken, and when he allows himself to lose control over his cool- everything begins to unwind. Like most great manipulators, a level head is needed to maintain the slick operation. And when this self centered operator loses his head, things tend to spiral out of control.

Marluxia’s calm and calculating ways may be easily looked over due to his reserved manner, but overlooking them is a grave error. His assured and confident nature added to his physical and mental dexterity makes his a worthy opponent. Yet his prodigious skill is reserved for only the best, which is none other then himself. Unless he is in control, Marluxia will rarely exert any effort to help a cause.

Homeworld:
The World That Never Was
Companions:
None

Background:
As a Somebody, Number Eleven had a rather cushy childhood. His world was one of old school pageantry and ethics; a medieval kingdom called Shoren with a large expanse of feudal towns surrounding it. Raimaul grew up in the lap of luxury, surrounded by the exquisite court life of the massive castle he knew as home. A life of parties, lords and ladies, knights and legends suited him well. Raimaul flourished and became the pride of his parents. The King had a rather invested interest in his success and forced excellence in both physical and mental activities. With his natural skill, Marluxia’s somebody excelled at whatever his father threw at him. Yet his younger brother did not. Outstandingly mediocre at every aspect from his academics to height, his brother despised his constant red ribbon finishes at whatever their father threw at him. The playful teasing of his elder sibling finally driving him to the edge of his tolerance. Desperate for some redemption in his father’s eyes, he began to follow his brother around obsessively; until he finally discovered the secret that could unravel his gleaming reputation.

Raimaul found solace from his constant work in the gardens. Since he had learned to walk, he had snuck away and toddled after the gardener almost obsessively. He acquired a great knowledge of the castle’s various plant life through the poor gardeners sage like pride. Yet he kept this obsession a secret, for his father very much opposed mingling with the servants and performing mere manual labor. His brother of course ran to his father with this revelation. Furious that his son would resort to menial labor, he immediately banned Raimaul from the gardens. Which in the Kings eyes set him back on the path of he expected the heir to his throne to take.

Unable to cope with losing his one solace, he began to rebel against his father purposefully thwarting his lessons and obligations. The self centered prince shirked his duties and left everything in the hands of his less competent. And this suited his jealous brother well, for once he was the favored child. The light of his father’s approval only served to throw his even more into his dark ways. As the king grew ill, he named the younger brother as his heir. The oblivious Marluxia finally realizing what his brother had done, yet at that point it was too late. His rebellion had only served to hand his brother the throne. And with his new position, the brother’s head full of nothing more than revenge on his ever perfect brother. The darkness in his heart attracted the Heartless in large quantities, and before he could extract any revenge the world was swallowed.

Swallowed in a attempt to right the wrongs his brother had inflicted, Marluxia strength of heart allowed him to retain a similar body though his heart was still lost. Appearing on the streets of The World That Never Was, Marluxia was recruited by Xigbar almost immediately. After a few short weeks, his natural aptitude retained from his past life caused him to be ushered into a position of authority rather early on. Xemnas named him Lord of Castle Oblivion and protector of the White Witch Namine, a position which Marluxia of course accepted. Yet his true enthusiasm resulted from the perks that came with the job, perks that even Xemnas did not think he had given him. A plan quickly began to brew in his head, and soon a coup of epic proportions began. With Larxene as his coconspirator, Marluxia intended to use Namine to gain control over Sora, and with the keyblade bearer under wraps the Organization would be child’s play. He of course had to put in account the founding members lurking in the Castle’s basement. The older members were certainly ruffled when the neophyte had been given power over themselves. And they certainly did not plan to sit there and play dumb, almost immediately they hatched their own plan using none other then Sora’s best friend Riku.

Vexen, with a particular hatred for Marluxia, brings his Riku Replica to the attentions of Marluxia, Larxene and Axel. He tests it against Sora with minimal success. Marluxia sees this as a perfect window of opportunity to both gain an ally and lose a foe. He deems the project a failure, even threatening the Superiors anger to Vexen (which is rather bold of him being on the precipice of overtaking him). This infuriates The Chilly Academic who goes after Sora himself. Marluxia then uses Axel to destroy him as a test of his loyalty. Axel passes and Marluxia and Larxene welcome him into the fold. Which soon became their fatal error. Perched on their almost success, Axel throws every thing out of whack on what seemed to be whim. Releasing Namine to free Sora’s memories and explain his situation, Axel dishevels the careful planning of the Graceful Assassin. And after Larxene’ defeat, Marluxia found himself in quite a predicament.

Furious at Axel’s betrayal, Marluxia decides to intervene himself. He changes his plan, moving to destroy the keyblade bearer himself and clean his hands of this mess. Yet he fails, and defeated by Sora becomes the fourth organization member to be eliminated. Despite all his careful planning, he fades away like every other Organization member of the stronghold (except for Axel).

Yet when time was thrown for a loop and darkness began to reign, Number XI found himself once more on the streets of The World That Never Was. This time he felt the oddest sense of déjà vu, yet he shook the feeling as Xigbar soon found him and took the new member to the floating stronghold. In the next year, Marluxia proved his aptitude through series of missions he was sent on. The Superior continued to be impressed by his skill and power. The chaos of the worlds suited the Organizations plans and subsequently they were more powerful then ever. Yet the low ranking Marluxia felt rather unhappy about his role, and he is tired of being just a servant to an illustrious purpose.

Roleplay Sample:
As always rain pored down on the streets of the Dark City. A black hooded figure stood facing the spinning stronghold above it. Marluxia had hardly been in this realm of nothingness and he was already being shipped off to another one. Rain clapped against his long black cloak as he stood in thought. This new life had come as surprise; the darkness at the end of his former life had felt like the end. Yet here he was, more powerful then his former self, and at the same time more empty. He had always been a proud man, but he felt unease over being prideful of his shell like existence. Xemnas believed that Kingdom Hearts had all the answers. But Marluxia did not quite trust his ability to ensure them all their lives back. If things were to be changed, he wanted to be the one changing them.

Yet toppling an Organization of this caliber would take his utmost skill. Careful planning however might not be enough. He began to stride gracefully towards the looming castle, boots splashing across the wet mixture of tile and pavement. He needed an accomplice, someone who could stand by him in this ruthless coup. He had not been here long but he knew of the elder member’s distaste of him, they of course would not do. His other numerical superiors did not seem apt for the job either. And Axel was the only one of the group that would be in the Castle with him, and gut instinct told him he was not to be trusted. And finally, he knew. The other member in the castle that could help bring his plans to fruition. The Savage Nymph would be perfect for executing this brutal overthrow. His pace quickened yet the castle still lay too far away. Impatient to begin his planning, Marluxia disappeared in a corridor of darkness leaving a brief flurry of petals in his place on the forlorn street.

He reappeared in the pristine, ornate white halls of the castle. A few feet away stood the female he was looking for. He turned; his midnight eyes alight with possibility and his lips revealing a devilish smirk.

In his deep whisper he addressed the small blonde, “Larxene, I have an idea.” He knew she would not be able to resist the allure of throwing the Organization for a complete loop.

Heh, you don't waste time, do ya? The application is good, but there are a few things I'd like to address before I can stamp ya for Pending.

First of all, type outside of the bold/color tags. Those are there to seperate the field from the information, and the way you have it now hurts my eyes and is difficult to read. It should be like:

Name: Marluxia

Easier to read, neh? Moving on....the history is good. I would like you to give a sentence or two on his world-kingdom. I don't know if it's modern based, Japanese- or British- set, if it's large or small, lots of people or not that many, towns around or not, etc.

Another thing is it'd be best to give him a name from before he was a Nobody. With Marluxia being an anagram (with the 'x') I know it sounds annoying and hard, but it isn't really. Just jot down random ideas and pick the one that sounds best. That should only take less than a minute. Also, in his childhood, you say his father banned him from the gardens. Why?

The last thing I must address is the timing. You bring his history through CoM but the plot moves back in time and stops before CoM so technically it didn't happen, though it did. (confusing <.<) It starts again a few months before KHII started, so you need to explain what he did in that year-gap. Just another paragraph or so would suffice.

'Tis all! Fix that up and reply here when you're done so I can look over it again. =)

Je suis fini. Changes are made and sorry about the tag thing. I don't really know how I did not catch that. Hope this helps.

You roleplay Marly wonderfully! At first, I though we wouldn't be seeing much of you considering the person who you took up as your first audition seems to have disappeared, but you instead took another audition! Thank goodness, because you are great!

Welcome to the site!
