Title: Dez384's Sprites
Description: Splicing and recoloring
Dez384 - June 30, 2006 02:06 AM (GMT)
Maelduin torso and axe on the legs of a Berserker. Clothes were colored white and the skin was lightened.

Berserker head on Knight torso with a Knight lance. The legs came from a General. Recolored blue.

Druid arm and head placed on the body of a Beserker. Recolored blue with gold trim. Axe was edited.

Manakete head was placed on the body of a Cavalier and on the horse of a Mage Knight. Recolored purple with gold trim and the horse was darkened.

Fighter arms and axe and a Pirate head were placed on the body of a Mercenary. Recolored red.

Head of a Shaman was placed on the body of a General. Black magic tome was placed in his hand.

Top of a Rogue on the bottom of an Assasin. Recolored
Dark Overlord Zack - June 30, 2006 02:14 AM (GMT)
pretty good, I made a Maelduin/berserker hybrid too, mine looks a little different though.
Dragon Hellfire - June 30, 2006 02:26 AM (GMT)
Use premade palletes. The recolor jobs were sloppy. The splices were really nice ideas but lack the editing around the edges after the custom was done.
TIP:
Always View your sprite non zoomed in to see if it looks ok from the audience point of view.
Dez384 - June 30, 2006 02:36 AM (GMT)
The Beserker Maelduin Hybrid is actually based on my other hybrid of that nature. Here is my other Beserker Maelduin hybrid. Torso of a Beserker and the bottom of a Maelduin. Tail of a Deathgoyle.

Here are its spawn. The Torso of a Fighter, tail of a Gwylligi, and bottom of a Tarvos.

The chest of a Berserker, arms of a Brigand, and head of a fighter on the bottom of a Maelduin with a Deathgoyle tail. Recolored.

The other centaur spawn are not as great. The bottom of a Maelduin with a Gwylligi tail and the top of a General. Recolored purple.

The top of Mymirdon and the bottom of a Tarvos with a Mauthe Doog tail. Recolored red.

The top of Mercenary and the bottom of a Tarvos with a Mauthe Doog tail. Recolored green.
oranj - June 30, 2006 02:45 AM (GMT)
top three are WAY better than the bottom three, you should recolor the top 2 to match
Dragon Hellfire - June 30, 2006 02:47 AM (GMT)
They don't fit that well besides the top one IMO.
TIP:
Using Grids help for editing. Use ctl+g.
Dez384 - June 30, 2006 03:08 AM (GMT)
I recolored two of my previous sprites. I don't know how much better they look. One looks a tad too purple.

Black_Knight_456 - June 30, 2006 03:09 AM (GMT)
They are ok, though a few of you splices look a little strange. And it looks like they are all .jpg which ruins the colors.
Dragon Hellfire - June 30, 2006 03:12 AM (GMT)
There better.
TIP:
When saving a file be sure to include .png at the end of the name of the file. Like so: "awesomesprite.png".
Dez384 - June 30, 2006 03:16 AM (GMT)
Dragon Hellfire - June 30, 2006 03:19 AM (GMT)
Then use imageshack.us to upload. Photobucket converts BMP's to JPG's.
Dez384 - June 30, 2006 03:32 AM (GMT)
I uploaded this one with imageshack. It is just a recoloration of a Druid.
Dragon Hellfire - June 30, 2006 03:33 AM (GMT)
May be simple but there are no flaws, good job.
Dez384 - June 30, 2006 03:54 AM (GMT)
Wight head on a Summoner

Darkened Wight head on a Sniper.

Revenant head and hand on a Necromancer.

Manakete wings, Soldier spear and shield, and Berserker head and arm on an Entombed.

Previous in two recolorings.

Created from the chest of a Warrior, shoulder of a General, hand and legs of a Berserker, arm of a Cyclops, and the head of an elder Bael. Recolored. Some peices were edited.
Please don't double post when there is no reason to do so.

Yeah if your topic is on the top there is no need to double post, just edit your prior.
The sprite's read color should be changed.
Dez384 - June 30, 2006 04:43 AM (GMT)
Is this better?

Here is another version.

Here is my first mug.
YokaiKnight - June 30, 2006 04:57 PM (GMT)
I don't see Battle Sprite splicing often. I like it. :)

What's a mind flayer?
I got bored and made some sprites from nobles.

Here is another mug.
Katrina - June 30, 2006 05:39 PM (GMT)
I like the Lyn/Roy ones. XD But seriously, the one with Lyn's head looks good.
And I don't really see flaws on the mug, 'cept that the collar (it looks like one) should be inside his jacket.
Black_Knight_456 - June 30, 2006 05:47 PM (GMT)
The top right one his missing the left arm (our left). And the mug doesnt really have a neck. They are ok other than that.

Actually, he is missing the arm on purpose. Everyone isn't pretty.
Here are some cavalry sprites. A Mage Knight, Cavalier, and Great Knight. The mane on the Mage knight is the wrong color.
Legault-The-Ninja - June 30, 2006 05:59 PM (GMT)
your pretty good but I would focus on Quality instead of quantity your shooting them out real fast but focus on detail make them better instead of 16 decent ones make 1 awesome one
Black_Knight_456 - June 30, 2006 06:03 PM (GMT)
@DEZ: I know, it would have been clearer if you just said that though.
@LTN: You mean Qaulity over Quantity i beleive.

Not bad, not bad at all. Oand BK, Legault for some reason said quality over quality o_o.

The reason that it seems I making many sprites really quickly is because I had most of them made before. I had been playing around with them for a while before I found this place.

I didn't think about it.
Here are some more sprites. The Assassin is only a recolor.
Legault-The-Ninja - June 30, 2006 06:15 PM (GMT)
Edited and also you should slow down

He said they are premade.
Dez384 - June 30, 2006 06:53 PM (GMT)
I took my time on this one.

Here's another:

Here's a recolored Eliwood. The sword is his hand. Think of the Villian from Disney's
Quest for Camelot.
Katrina - June 30, 2006 07:01 PM (GMT)
XD 'user posted image'.
That has to be the most ironic thing this week!
EDIT: Looks good. The only thing is that 'what's he doing with the staff?'. He's like, fooling around with it? a/w that's a nice job.

Morph.exe, I don't know what he's doing. Looks like to me like he needed a place to sit. The staff just fit. Since you didn't like the staff, here are two more sprites of the same Eliwood.

Here is a picture of a dancer. Made from Eireka.
Aeorys Kirru - July 1, 2006 03:16 AM (GMT)
Her legs are off...and she's...NEON GREEN.
@m.e - Hey...I thought I had the trademark for 'user posted image'

XD
No, when he first posted his pic, it was a 'user posted image'. Blame him.
Dez: I like the idea of the dancer, but I agree with Aeo on the color.
People seem to hate Eliwood here, too....

I don't think her legs are offbecause i got them straight from an un-edited sprite. As for the color, i probably should have stuck closer to premade pallettes. She reminded me of a Kokiri from Ocarina of Time. <.<
Katrina - July 1, 2006 04:16 AM (GMT)
^_^ Those things can be seen in SO many games! Now in FE!
NIce job. I don't have any flaws to point out.
Dez384 - July 1, 2006 04:30 AM (GMT)
I got the idea for a flying Eyeball after playing a minigame from an online game called AdventureQuest.
I call it Lucius The Gray
oranj - July 1, 2006 04:53 AM (GMT)
totally unoriginal name dude, otherwise nice
Aeorys Kirru - July 1, 2006 05:00 AM (GMT)
Eww...Adventure Quest is bad... It reminds me of the Aibatt from FFF. I like the Lucius one, but it's just not him without the hair...
Dragon Hellfire - July 1, 2006 07:32 PM (GMT)
That flying mogall is sweet, good job.
