Title: About Reported Posts

Look guys, my inbox has been filling with post reports lately, and I think that you guys could use some clarification about the proper usage of the function.

1. Don't use the report button as a joke. *coughDHcough* I don't need a bunch of nonsense reports spamming up my inbox, k? The function isn't there so you can tell me to ban someone for misspelling "Fire Emblem" or something equally stupid.

2. Don't use it to mini-mod, because that's just flat out irritating. You don't need to point out every spam post in existence, because stuff like that is usually obvious anyway, and it isn't a huge issue either. Most of the time, you can rely on moderation to pick this stuff up on their own.

3. I guarantee you, I will see anything you PM me faster than anything you email to me. PMing a moderator is easily a more effective way to notify them about a rule infraction. I only check my email once or twice each day, but I know if someone PMs me as soon as it happens, or as soon as I get back to the forum.

4. DO use the report function to notify us about major rule infractions, or stuff that we missed, like 2-day-old flames, or inappropriate topics, etc. We do want to be alerted about these sort of things, after all.

That is all.
