OTHIN, Fin, Rifis, Asvel, Nanna, Mareeta, Fergus, Karin, Halvan, Sheeda, Machuya, Trewd, Sety, Galzus, and Lief.
Also, use Lara for dancing, Dalshien for the first few chapters you have him, Parn when Rifis is fatigued, and Saphy for healing (Replace her with Tina when Tina gets to a good level).

Thanks for the suggestions. Wrath is hax in FE5. And isn't Sheeda in FE1 and FE3? >_>

On top of what Othin said, Carrion, Homeros, Roberto, Dean, Linoan, Xavier and Sara are also pretty good.
IMO, Tina was a pain to raise, so I stuck with Saphy. And use both Pahn and Rifis

I wouldn't use both Robert and Carrion, seeing how you only have one Elite scroll.

Well, do the effects of the Elite ability stack up in Elite mode? Maybe I should've mentioned that earlier. >_>

Elite + Elite Mode = 4x EXP
Not sure why you'd play Elite Mode anyway, though.

I dunno. It should be easier to play it the first time with Elite Mode, wouldn't it?

Yeah, I never saw much of a need for it though.
But then, I've never gotten more than like halfway through the game, either... : D

Carrion can use the Elite sword, tough
Eniomus - August 19, 2007 04:26 PM (GMT)
Good point, although I prefer to give it to characters like Nanna, Mareeta, or Lara.
Jeigan - August 20, 2007 12:53 AM (GMT)
I usually trade it between characters that may need it, so everyone can get some quick level ups.

Othin, Fin, Rifis and Parn are the four best units in the game. Abuse Rifis like mad in the first few chapters you get him. Steal tons of iron swords in chapter 4x as well, otherwise you might end up low on weapons for chapters 5, 6 and 7, before you can finally use the preparation screen.
Other than that, use any of the units that were suggested earlier. Dean is probably the best flier, as he has an extremely good personal weapon (it's a more powerful Hero Lance), requires no work and requires no promo item.
Asvel is probably the best magic user. Homer levels extremely fast as well, so use him if you want. Linoan can make a good backup healer, and is the best unit for the Rizziah tome. She also gives Dean +20 avo.
For main healers, I suggest Nanna and Saphy. Nanna needs some scrolls to increase her magic and maybe str, and Saphy needs some to increase her HP. Saphy will be the first person to get an A rank in staves as well, so I suggest having her spam heals. Warp staff is EXTREMELY useful in this game.
So uh... yeah. Good luck.

Never got to play this game D: Do you have it with patch?
