Title: The Magic Trinity

This ended up being a pretty big topic in GameFaqs, so I thought I'd try it here:

Which traingle do you prefer? Wind > Thunder > Fire > Wind + neutral Light, or Light > Dark > Anima > Light?

Personally, I think the latter is better because it makes more sense and the tomes were a bit more sepcialized (as in light was weak, accurate, and high crit, anima well rounded, etc). The former trianmgle didn't seem to make as much sense unless you started thinking a bit abstractly, for example: wind beats thunder in the sense that the winds in the atmosphere can break apart thunder heads. On a side point, the former triangle would have worked better if mages didn't have access to EVERY magic instead of dividing it like they did with cavaliers and the weapon triangle. But back to the main point, which system do you prefer?

I haven't really had too much experience with the former, but I would have to lean towards the latter, for the reasons that you pointed out.

I say that the anima trinity is better, but only the way it was in FE4 and FE10. FE5 and FE9 screwed it up with all the mages having all types of magic.

A dual-trinity system like in FE10 is definitely the best, but the classes ruined it.

FE4's mages did have all of the magics >:/

I was thinking more of the Thunder/Fire/Wind Mages, but they're usually enemy-only so it kinda ruins it... D=
