In Fe4 Ive only made it past level 1 once, but Azel, Ethlin, Deu, Midir, and Edin died

So im wondering whos good, whos not, and what pairing i should try.

Ethlin is one of the best units in the first generation from being a mounted healer. How did you let her die? Use savestates and restart. And you have to keep them alive for pairings, dummy! :(

I didnt let them die, they just did, oh yea, Arya died too, because her sword broke with 5 enemies around and lex couldnt get there fast enough.....thats why im restarting mainly

alvis leaves when he talks to sigurd, but I reccomend that you keep sigurd out of his range and attack the brigs yourself.

Wtf? Talk to him for the Silver Sword and make him go away so he doesn't kill everything and steal your EXP.

I did, He only killed 2 brigs, which was good because Azel almost died..., any other hints tips or secrets i should know about?

In Chapter 1, make sure you let Lex stand at the peninsula to the east of the last castle to get the Hero Axe.

Also, always check to see when your characters can talk to each other.

Ive got the Hero Ax, and Lance so far, and the Pursuit ring, im at the end of Chapter two, I killed beowulf, i got Fury, Fins got the Elite ring, Jamka has the barrier ring, Deirdre has the defnce one, so ive got everything i tihnk

Don't give anything to Diadora. She disapoofs in the next chapter.

He isn't great at the start, and yours probably got really lucky with stats. He's good, but he shouldn't be that good.

Hes better than lex in just about every stat....only worse are Def, and HP

Why in God's name would you kill Beowulf and give the Elite Ring to Fin? Fin has the second generation to level up in. Give it to Ethlin so she gives it to Leaf. Lead needs it badly.

Are you not using Lex much or something? Considering the level lead Lex should have from Elite, Fin shouldn't have much of a chance of beating him in Str. Unless my estimates are off, Fin is also unlikely to even beat Lex in Skl and Spd until shortly before he leaves.

Oh, and Beowulf is easier to recruit than any other character who starts as an enemy, since you can recruit him with anyone. >.>

yea, but when i tried that Volcon or w/e killed my people, and Lex is level 21, and Fin is level 23, Fin has same str, higher, Spd, Skl, Luk and 3 less Hp

How the hell is Fin at a higher level when Lex gets twice as much Exp? Use Lex more, seriously. He's one of the best characters in the game. >.>

I know that, but I had Fin take out the Elite ring boss, all the Swordknights, beat the Arena to get Holyn, I have been using Lex, but hes wasnt able to get through the Arena

He's going to leave soon, anyways. Sell the Elite Ring, have Cuan give Ethlin all of his money after selling his weapons, sell all of Ethlin's staves, and then buy the Elite Ring with Ethlin.

Sell Ethlin's staves anyways. She leaves after Chapter 3 and Leaf can't inherit them.
