Title: Ice wolf's gallery
Description: The coolest gallery around...

Ice wolf - November 21, 2007 08:29 PM (GMT)
(I took out the part about the mugsheets and the links to each individual one because they are in the sprite collection anyway.)

I have made a collection of sprites from the GBA Fire Emblems.  It includes mugs, battle sprites, and map tiles.  For sprites other than these three main forms of spriting, (e. g. stat sheets and battle scenes) you should visit FEPlanet and Serenes Forest.  If you see anything wrong or have any suggestions for this collection, be sure to notify me.  I will update the collection when needed.

Download the collection here. (Mirror)

You will probably need to unzip this file.  To do this, you can use IZArc.

Here is a list of programs that can be helpful when spriting.  Most of these have already been posted on this site before, and I am sure most of you already know about them.  All of these programs are free.

Paint.NET - One of the best, if not the best, free picture-editing programs.
Giffy - Can convert .bmp's to .gif's and make them transparent.
Mappy - Can help you make maps.  It saves very much time.  (Exxucus has made a tutorial for it.)
Unfreez - A .gif animator (There are no watermarks on your finished animation.)

That's great.

Host here for large files.

Thanks, I forgot that photobucket shrank big pictures. I'll edit the new ones in.

Awesome. Bonzai's sheet is missing various mugs. Thanks for the share. *saves*

I made a sprite.

I know it is not much, but I wanted to revive my thread...

Ice wolf - March 21, 2008 03:27 AM (GMT)
The FE7 version was harder to make due to color changes.

I've always wondered what the FE8 one looked like whole. Now I know.

Ice wolf - June 15, 2008 12:57 AM (GMT)
I can't wait until I get to chapter 17.

It took about all day for me to make this, mainly because I was learning how to do it. The animation speed is not perfect, but it is close to the actual speed.

P. S. I am going to (eventually) add all the GBA maps to my sprite collection. I have to finish playing Radiant Dawn first. XD

LordUldren - June 15, 2008 01:01 AM (GMT)
I see it! I was about to comment "That looks like chapter one of FE7" :P

aznswordmaster1 - June 15, 2008 01:05 AM (GMT)
What else is moving besides the water. XD Thats a pretty cool idea.

EDIT: I updated the mugsheets, so everyone make sure you download them. I fixed a few mugs and rearranged everyone.

Exxucus - June 16, 2008 01:34 AM (GMT)
Nice rips/animations!

Cugar - June 16, 2008 04:40 AM (GMT)
I'm coming to you for animated maps now

Ice wolf - July 2, 2008 02:09 AM (GMT)
My first large-scale animated map.

Piecing each frame together takes patience. >_<

LordUldren - July 2, 2008 02:13 AM (GMT)
It really looks good and fluid, I like it, and it may seem small but it makes an impact just making the water flow.

aznswordmaster1 - July 2, 2008 02:43 AM (GMT)
Is the water the only thing moving?

It would be nice if they could of made some of the terrain move in the GBA FEs.

Ice wolf - July 4, 2008 12:56 AM (GMT)
Which would everybody prefer the frames of maps be, PNG or GIF? Considering that most people make maps in Mappy instead of Paint, I would assume that the lower quality (but still the same as in the game) GIFs would be fine, but I want to know what everyone thinks.

Aeorys Kirru - July 4, 2008 01:16 AM (GMT)
I save everything that doesn't require transparency as a PNG, so I'd say go with that. I don't map, though.

Ice wolf - July 8, 2008 11:29 PM (GMT)
I just made a massive update to the mugs section of the sprite collection. I fixed many many many errors and reduced the overall size by getting rid of useless white space. I highly suggest you go download it here.

Aeorys Kirru - July 9, 2008 12:46 AM (GMT)
Woot. Thanks loads, IW.

I was playing around with Joshua (that came out wrong) and ended up customing (why don't we say customizing?) the covered parts of his clothes. I think it is pretty decent.

This is just a remake of the unicorn I made for the pony contest that was forever ago. The old one's colors were messed up, so now they are pretty and saturated along with a few changes I made here and there.

P. S. - A cookie to whoever guesses where I was when I thought of my custom title.

aznswordmaster1 - July 9, 2008 05:41 PM (GMT)
Hmm, do unicorns have wings? >:/ I thought it was more like Pegasus that did have wings though.

Ice wolf - July 9, 2008 07:00 PM (GMT)
Actually, I think you are right. I'll just called it a pegicorn or something. XD

oranj - July 9, 2008 08:04 PM (GMT)
I kind like unisus moar

Aeorys Kirru - July 10, 2008 01:01 AM (GMT)
Can't we just settle for a generic 'flying unicorn' or 'winged unicorn?'
d : Come to think of it, though, I called it a pegicorn back in seventh grade. XD

Nice job on the Joshua, though the shading on his shoulders look a bit heavy.

Ice wolf - August 24, 2008 10:05 PM (GMT)
I added all the maps (with their frames) from Lyn's story to the sprite collection, hurray!

Now I need a break.

:sleepy:

aznswordmaster1 - August 24, 2008 11:05 PM (GMT)
Wow thats a lot of work. Great work Ice. :rose:

If you have not already guessed, I added a few chapters from FE8 to the sprite collection.

Bloodfalcon22 - September 14, 2008 04:04 PM (GMT)
good animation  but map is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO boring

aznswordmaster1 - September 14, 2008 04:33 PM (GMT)
I think the point of it is to do the animation, you should see some of Ice Wolf's older stuff, now that was impressive stuff.

Bloodfalcon22 - September 14, 2008 04:35 PM (GMT)
yeah :/, the animations are cool though

Ice wolf - September 14, 2008 05:08 PM (GMT)
Not only did I want to show off the animation, but the fact that it is custom, too. I would have made it much more complex, but Chapter 1 does not offer enough tiles for me to do so.

Ice wolf - June 13, 2009 06:52 PM (GMT)
:D Expect some custom maps and an update to the sprite collection within the next few days. Oh, and maybe a little tutorial on how to make (custom) animated maps.
