Title: Electoral Compass
Description: A cool way to find where you stand

YokaiKnight - January 5, 2008 03:31 AM (GMT)
This site will pretty accurately pinpoint your position compared to the other candidates, both overall and on specific issues--give it a try. The best part is the analysis; as well as an overall position on a map, you can toggle on and off specific issues and candidates, though it's by no means complete. There is a notable absence or two, however, such as Dennis Kucinich.

Here's where I stand, apparently:

P.S. You can save your results without snapshotting, if you like: it's under other functions.

This.

I'm on the x axis.

Shadowinfinity - January 5, 2008 08:30 PM (GMT)
Closest to John Edwards, farthest from Fred Thompson. Position is in the middle of the democrats.

Same here, but upon further inspection I find that this site has one major flaw.

Look more closely at your answers compared to the candidates farthest and closest from you. I found that they may have been close in some areas, but way off in others that mattered more to me. This site will only help you if you compare your answers question by question with another candidate.

If I were to make a site like this though, I would have people rank the issues presented to them (economics, Iraq, border control, etc.) before taking the test and I would also get rid of the "tend to agree" and "completely agree" and would just have a simple choice for "agree","nuetral", or "disagree".

Bizox - March 29, 2008 12:50 AM (GMT)
Redid it with updated insight from my government class.

Now I'm almost exactly on John McCain.
