So, unless Leo pops out of nowhere and wtf owns me, I get an easy win for a half-decent post. Cool.

So, one country ruling the world.

For one thing, it would fairly well abolish war. If there’s only one side, there’s no one to fight. Yay! World peace ftw. Of course, there might be the occasional rebellion, but there’d be rebellions without global domination, so that point is moot.

Global Domination: 1
Anti-Global Domination: 0

If there’s no foreign contender, then all currency would stay at a fixed value, so no economic depression.

Global Domination: 2
Anti-Global Domination: 0

But then, you might say, the government could force prices too high.

Really, who wins in that situation? The government gets no money because people can’t afford taxes, so everybody loses, so there’s no reason to force high prices. No point there.

Further more, the world would be united under ONE language, unless they pull this BS that the US government is pulling, so, as minor as it is, everyone would understand each other.

Global Domination: 3
Anti-Global Domination: 0

Now, I don’t see how religion fits in, as the government could pull more US BS and let anyone do whatever they want, or they could institute a national/global belief. Since religion is such a controversial subject, and many people are touchy about it, this government would likely be overthrown by those who disagree. Point for both sides.

Global Domination: 4
Anti-Global Domination: 1

Anyway, Wikipedia isn’t giving me any other points to address, so I’ll finish here.

Leo failed to respond. Larry Wins.
