Title: Ummmm
Sety - March 5, 2008 04:04 AM (GMT)
I'm not on the mod list at all.
yoshi71089 - March 5, 2008 04:05 AM (GMT)
Because you're a phail mod.

Selective mod powers that come from groups, not the users themselves, don't list the user as a mod on the mod team.

Local Mod powers are so annoying to configure over multiple boards... X_X
Othin pretty much summed it up.

What's really annoying is when there's several people in the group.
...But you do know that you can mass-select the forums, right? <__<;

I ninja'd my way out of the mod list
Sety - March 6, 2008 04:48 AM (GMT)
So, I control 20 boards and don't get mention on the team, yet Merc, LS, Zeph, KoI, and AOD (who all control 1) get to? |:
You might want to add the RP Mod on the Mod list then, lol.
And since this is here, why are Ceph and DOZ G-Mods? >_>

Because otherwise they'd be the same as you. %::%

The mod list doesn't work that way, and the only way to remove them from the mod list would be to give them each their own user group and set them to have the powers through that. Which is a pain in the ass, I can tell ya.
Similarly a pain is manually reselecting all the RP forums to give the power to a specific user, which is the only way you could be added to the mod list.

Thus I have the contest winner pip, not Mod one

Speaking of own user group, I'm the only member in the RP mod group.
Again, add the RP Mod group to the Mod list.

Which is why you AREN'T on the mod list.
And what part of "You can't do that" are you not getting? You can't fucking change a setting that doesn't exist, and the setting that adds a specific mod group to the mod list DOES NOT EXIST. I have no idea where you got the idea that it did, but the fact is, it doesn't.
JGatsby - March 8, 2008 05:41 PM (GMT)
I'm on the mod list... I don't really understand what you guys are complaining about. Hell, KoI is already on it.

It's called fair exchange. When a merge occurs and you are merging staff teams, it's generally fair to allow them the same or similar power they had prior to the switch on the older board.
Per normal merges, Administrators from the old board (say EA) tend to take upon an Administrative position at the new (FES), however, in a case such as ours, the Global Moderator position better suited our duties and still allowed us our fair exchange.
It's not a big deal. You still have the rights of a Moderator and the group rank to prove it. Get over it.
