Title: I'm quite livid

Delita - April 7, 2008 06:18 AM (GMT)
And I'm sure you can guess why.

DV? Are you kidding me? Inactive Nin >>> Inactive DV.

And Dez should not have been promoted to administrator for the sake of there being two administrators. Hell, I was questioning why the hell Dez was a global mod.

Balls.

SandLord - April 7, 2008 06:56 AM (GMT)
What do you expect from an admin, I must ask you? Coding/Maintenance or what? In my opinion, no matter who is the best deserving member/staff, the one who will be best at what the job includes and can do it responsibly should be Admin. You should respect those placed in authority over you, until or unless they prove incapable of the position. I'm sure those that you are criticizing do not appreciate this. If you have a problem with the administration, then why be so aggressive about it? (Talking to several people)

Just my humble opinion.

Delita - April 7, 2008 07:24 AM (GMT)
Hey, there's not a single person on this internet who knows what they're talking about more than me. So, why bother with all that unnecessary courtesy period?

Whatever the case, I plan on talking to Nin about it. Maybe DV.

With an attitude like that, I won't even speak to you on the matter. I won't tolerate anyone insulting the new administrator without him being able to prove his worth.

I assure you that much thought went into the subject on who the next admin is, and Dez was the best for the job.

Also, why would it matter who is in charge anyway? We have the same job, and my possible activity is rising thanks to less assignments. If you have a problem with me being the root admin, then ask yourself who was it that forced me into this job? And after Nin leaving, who would be a better candidate? It seems too sudden to pick off some other person to make root admin with being normal admin right away, don't you think?

You better not try to bicker with me like you did with Nin, either.

Much thought? Is that even possibly with a childish, inexperienced staff? You didn't even release a matter this big to the public. If nobody spoke up and said that, then the entire staff's credibility is really shot. If somebody did but the other staff members shot it down, same thing. Either way the staff just lost a lot of credibility in the "much thought" department.

Or maybe you were planning to keep the problem secret from the general memberbase. Maybe just hope that nobody noticed that the staff changed? Doesn't sound likely.

The root admin job? I don't know, but I'm guessing Nin. If you're implying that I forced you into the admin position. The conversation went more like "DV, wanna be an admin" "You're doing fine" "I'm resigning" "Oh, ok then" "K". It was a very short, un-drawn conversation where you took the job without complaint. Puh-lease.

He's been a poor global moderator for a while. I don't see why you would need or even want him as an administrator.

To be honest. I find it ridiculous Nin resigned at this point altogether. Seeing as there are only a few people here with the capabilities to actually kick-start this forum. The most obvious person would be Inui, however, he's got FEFF to worry about more than this place. The other being me, but I don't care enough. Gennaro could probably even do it if he dedicated himself to one forum. Otherwise, no, nobody here can do it. It would be a community effort rather than a root administrators huge influence of actions. And guess what? You do not need a root administrator to make the community move. Especially when there is still authority present on the board.

However, I'm more mad at Nin than anything right now.

Delita - April 7, 2008 12:06 PM (GMT)
Try your hardest. Do your best. If you ever need some help or want some advice, don't be afraid to hit me up. I'm afraid the route the staff has chosen leads to a dead-end, though. (Actually, I'm about 98% positive.) I'd try to smack you with an epiphany, but I've realized that it doesn't work like that. So I can only hope you realize it yourself, whether you notice it or not.. Learn to put your foot down, too. You (DV) should be able to command anyone here as long as you tried. Well, aside from me. My arrogance mixed with MAD SKILLZ and authority capabilities makes that nigh impossible. :P

EDIT: DP is so I didn't have to break voice. <___<;;

Dez384 - April 7, 2008 03:51 PM (GMT)
Nin didn't want to make a big deal of his leaving. That is the reason why it wasn't shouted to the Heavens. He just wanted to slip away.

Linkssword - April 7, 2008 06:19 PM (GMT)
It would have been nice to at least say goodbye :/

Brother Denningo - April 7, 2008 09:03 PM (GMT)
So Nin finally abandoned us, huh?

He didn't want to? With something like this that really isn't a valid argument.

Swordsman - April 8, 2008 12:03 AM (GMT)
Man, nin left of all people. I thought he would be last to leave, like a captain going down with his ship? x3

Sety - April 8, 2008 03:32 AM (GMT)
Nin left for a reason, but DV wouldn't tell me because it's a mod only thing or some BS.

I agree with DH whole-heartedly >_>

I never said that. I wouldn't tell you because Nin ordered me to keep it on the low, and I respect his decision regardless if you do or not. He wanted to leave silently. Nothing has changed but who is in power. I don't see why that would even be that big of a deal. :/

Regardless of him not wanting to make a big deal about leaving not being a valid argument in your eyes, it is still an argument.

Why are you pursuing something so pointless?

Hunter-Ghor - April 8, 2008 11:28 AM (GMT)
He ran the fucking site. This is not something that can be considered minor just because someone says so.

FullMetalOsaka - April 8, 2008 05:41 PM (GMT)
Damn, I had thought that Dez replaced DV, and DV had stepped down. I really need to read the announcements more closley. Well it's horrible to hear that about Nin. I'm really gonna miss him if he doesn't come back :(

Brother Denningo - April 8, 2008 08:29 PM (GMT)
What do you guys want DV to do? Hell, what can any of you do? Honestly, get over it, seriously. This is one thing that seems rather dumb to be bitching about. I don't know why Nin left - real life issues? Felt he couldn't take the reigns of this forum after all? What are we gonna do, "debate" such a controversial issue (and there's no "win" in this "debate", I'm sure you can tell) or actually make the best of a tense situation?

Perhaps I can't quite get through to you guys, but honestly, if this forum erupts into war over this petty shit, it might as well be deleted altogether.

I'm just pissed at Nin right now, for reasons you're probably overlooking. I decided to blow off some steam.

Nin-Finity - April 10, 2008 07:08 PM (GMT)
Pissed off at me for following in your footsteps? Don't make me laugh.

Yeah, I resigned, and I don't intend to remain active here... not that I was for like, the past month. Sorry to seem like I'm ditching you guys, but I didn't want to drag half the memberbase with me by posting a goodbye message that would inspire a bunch of other people to leave.

No, that's impossible. Forums can't go through change and still be a strong community. That's just not how it works.

No such luck. Every forum I've been to dies after it's leader resigns. But that's no reason to give up hope! <:)

Delita - April 11, 2008 09:36 PM (GMT)
I think the fact that people aren't posting would make the forum die more than an inactive leader transferring power.
