...I'm voting according to the best in my opinion, just so you know. If I vote for myself, it is because I think it is better, and not because I want to win. You shouldn't allow contestants to vote without being able to judge all of the works, and since bias is nearly impossible to avoid, contestants should not vote at all.

I agree that contestants shouldn't be allowed to vote for themselves. I think a lot of people would feel awkward voting for themselves and thus lose out even if they have a better entry.

Ah, but this is a call unfair judgment. They cannot judge their own work in comparison, which means that they are limited in what they can vote for. If you can't trust them to judge by honest opinion, don't let them vote at all. Leaving them at a disadvantage in two ways is no way to solve the problem.

My contests usually allowed people to vote for their own work. I mean, it's still a members opinion, no matter how bias it is. Besides, if everyone thinks their work is the best, what then? It evens out. If not everyone does? It's more accurate.

Brother, actually. A fact I've been trying to avoid because people judge others for or compared to their relatives more often than not.
