Title: Gentlemen... we have metal!
Description: \m/

This is why I have an evil grin right now...

:headbang:

Now then, the release date approaches(March 29th), and I'm getting my hopes up really high for this. However, I realize after the failure of GH4 that I shouldn't get them up too high... but it's Metallica, man!

Also, don't you love how the slogan was "Ride The Lightning 2009" ... no RtL. Apparently Dave Mustaine is being a douche again...

Really friggin' psyched about this one.

That setlist is STONE COLD CRAZY, Y'KNOW?!

That's the only reason I'm getting this. Freaking Queen, man. FINALLY.

The Drums on Expert+ look freaking hard. I might stick with singing on this one.

Wow, double bass kicks. I have a hard enough time with one pedal and two sticks. XD

Lubu - March 27, 2009 08:41 AM (GMT)
man i'm going to love this game, metallica = the shit, and guitar hero is fun so it has to be a good mix

Cugar - March 27, 2009 11:58 AM (GMT)
I'm no longer happy about this game.

They have the screwy purple bass notes. Not inherently bad, but annoying enough that I'll stick with Rawk Band.

Shit vocal engine.

My two prime instruments are fucked.

Xenx-Zona - March 28, 2009 12:33 AM (GMT)
i downloaded the demo and the Drum game play > GH4
Seek & Destroy was the only song i couldnt do on expert :{

Zephiel - March 28, 2009 12:36 AM (GMT)
I'll be getting it in a couple weeks. I'll be using the RB drums though. Stone Cold Crazy doesn't look as hard on vox than on drums.

What I really want to get into is that one mode that gets rid of the drum track of a song and lets you use your own. That will be fun.

Exxucus - March 30, 2009 04:40 AM (GMT)
Got it, play guitar all day. The only songs I have left to 5* are:

Battery (I blame the horrendous charting)
War ensemble (Raining Blood 2.0)
and Dyer's Eve

I lurv it, except for one BIG thing:

It doesn't display your scores. When you beat a song on career, it saves and displays your stars and everything, but if you want to check your score, you've got to go through some backwards extra feature thing. FAIL. Hopefully, there will be a fix patch soon, cause this doesn't seems to be intentional.

I got it, play expert drums w/GH drums (more fun, even though it drops notes sometimes). I've five starred a bunch but I haven't got to the end of the career yet. The only one I failed was Toxicity, and I'm going to blame that on the note-droppingness of my GH drums.

Well, if that's the only one you failed, I'd blame that too. Were it something like War Ensemble...

Haven't played that yet. It's in the next Non-Metallica tier, though, and it's not the last tier. I'll get to it tomorrow.

The last one I played was "Albatross" which was easy and I five-starred it on my sightread.

Battery is coming up, though, and that took me a bit to beat on expert drums in RB.

O__O War Ensemble isn't last Tier?

Odd, they must change the order between Expert and Expert+...

...Cause there is not way that is less than final...

Zephiel - April 13, 2009 02:38 AM (GMT)
It's could be the last non-metallica tier, but it's not the hardest song in the tier. I know for sure I have at least one more tier left though.

Oh, yeah... that. Technical final tier is laem. I get the feeling it was supposed to be the calming credits song, like Pull Me Under, but then they scrapped that idea and just gave it a venue...

Zephiel - April 13, 2009 03:19 PM (GMT)
The Expert Chart doesn't look too hard. It looks like This Calling (RB2 DLC) but with less slow parts.

Zephiel - April 13, 2009 09:52 PM (GMT)
Failed: Demon Cleaner. That is a confusing beat.

...but then I went on to Five Star Stone Cold Crazy (Easier than expected), One, and Master of Puppets, three songs that are, according to the tiers, harder than Demon Cleaner.

Whatever.

Exxucus - April 13, 2009 11:12 PM (GMT)
O__o

Wow, that's quite a difference. But it goes to show that the Expert+ FC is possible once someguy or another epic drummer gets a hang of the double bass...
