Title: Castlevania: Judgment

For the Castlevania fans, anybody here opting to get Judgment?

I'm not a huge Castlevania fan, and I actually just got into the series because of Order of Ecclesia. I mostly just fangirl over Shanoa, but there was actually something a little more interesting than just that one character.

I haven't gone out to try other Castlevania games just yet, but by what I've seen thus far, I'm getting the notion that Judgment is going to be pretty epic, if not just through means of fanservice. A fighting game for Castlevania characters? Seems pretty good to me. I'm still reading up on this, so ultimately, I'm still pretty ignorant about the series when it all comes down to it.

I think I'd get it. I don't know how it will turn out, but it looks decent from what I've read so far. I'm particularly interested in the 3D free run system. I got a nice taste of that from the ToS2 game, and already messing with that a bit on the SC fighter games gives me something to really look forward to.

I'm a little unhappy with Obata's artwork, though, considering that I'm not much of a Death Note fan, but the designs are decent, and it isn't harshly enough Death Note for it to be a distraction.

So, your thoughts? Would you get it?

I'm not really a Castlevania fan at all (although I am open to getting into it), so I don't know. It's not exactly on the top of my want list lol.

It's a bold move for Konami, and I think they did pretty dang well for a first attempt at a CV-themed fighter.

Take it from someone who has played it AND enjoys the heck out of it; it's well worth getting into, and the whole genre crossover thing that is the "ZOMG A CASTLEVANIA FIGTHAN GAEM" is no different than, say, Mario characters in their own racing game or Nintendo mascots in their own party-fighter game.

It's slightly on the short side, in terms of the cast number combined with the number of gameplay modes, but it's pretty cool to experiment with. Anyone who's curious about it should check it out. Plus, it has online multiplayer.

I got Judgement for Christmas, but have only played it twice (I generally only have access to my Wii once a month). I never really got into it, but that is due to my own lack of skill.
