Title: I just returned from skydiving
Description: about 6 hours ago

My day started with my family forgetting I was going and rushing to try to get me to do stuff five minutes before leaving (so a pretty average morning). I met up with the rest of my group (9 in all, 6 jumping) and we were on our way.
Anyway, after about a half hour drive followed by a half hour training video, we suited up and waited for the plane... well, it didn't really go by that fast. We got there around 11:30 and finally went up around 3 I guess. We shot pool until my turn came up. Anyway, this was the first time in a plane so I was pretty nervous... for only about a minute surprisingly. Right after we got about 1000 feet up, I was pretty comfortable.
The view was incredible! I saw fields, roads, a few lakes, and sky as far as the eye could see (Did not see my house, disappointing...). Going through a cloud was... interesting. Think morning fog, but everything was tinted blue slightly... and you're thousands of feet in the air. The horizon was beautiful, I've never seen anything like it before! We were surposed to jump around 9000 feet I believe. My friend (you may know him as Mr. Blonde and skinny from my comics) went first and it was a sight to see him and the instructor open the door and fly out. Then came my turn.
After the door opens, you must step OUT onto a small step, let go of the door handles, and sit until the instructor sorta pushes you out. There is a Ready Set Go signal you get right before you jump... I didn't see it ¬_¬ Now I'm free falling.
HOW AWESOME COULD LIFE GET!? Descending from the heavens doing flips and stuff, WICKED! When the chute finally opened, I got to control where we glided for a bit before my instructor (called Moo by the way, nice guy) aimed us toward the landing area. This was a Tangem jump (probably spelling it wrong), so you had an instructor with you. Like I'm really capable of taking care of my own life falling from a plane. Landing went pretty smoothly and the video taken turned out alright.
So by the end of the day, everyone was okay, I conquered the sky, and I'm waiting for my hearing to fully return. I'll have pics and maybe a vid whenever I get them.
And that was my adventure for this week.

That's the coolest thing I've heard of somebody do in a while. That's pretty awesome Rag, congrats on your amazing daredevil skillz.

Haha, calling me a daredevil might be pushing it. You see, I'm not what you'd call a brave man or a coward, I believe my friends put it best by calling me a fool who tempts fate. I'm just a "cross that bridge when I get to it" sort of guy.
Thanks guys :D

Dang man, that's awesome. I've always wanted to go skydiving. How long was the freefall, or how long did it seem I should say...
And how much did it cost to do it?
