Honestly, I'm disappointed. There are only TWO tier 8 songs for guitar. That means I'm going to have to slog through HOURS of boring pop to get to the mildly interesting stuff. Luckily, I have Demons. Best song in the game by far.

I might actually dabble in guitar in this game. As a drummer it should be fun for the tougher songs, but songs like Brianstorm and 21st Century Schizoid Man are annoying because I like the songs and want to play them but they're going to be too hard...

I'm sure some of the exported songs from the other games will be Tier 10, maybe even some DLC.

I do like to pick up the sticks and beat on plastic every now and then, though I've at least 5-starred every song on RB if I haven't GS'd or FC'd it. Some of these songs would be fun to play, 2 Minutes to Midnight and Spirit of the Radio (one of my favorite songs to play, barring Fly by Night) especially

I'm a drummer too (probably been playing for less time than you though) and I find drumming to songs on RB and GH fun because I feel like I'm actually backing the band. The most fun thing with Guitar Hero is "Always drum fill" mode because then I can actually back the band!

Or...you can just set your EQ on your computer to block out most of the drumming, put in your headphones, and do the exact same thing on a real drum kit that has greater variety (I.E. Open/closed hi-hat, opening the hi-hat (don't really know the technical term but you know what I mean), and using the bell or edge of the ride)

Despite my earlier worries, this game is really fun. It's not hard, but the songs sound good, and are fun to play.

I see beastie boys. Why do both games insist on putting that shit in? I 100%ed beastie boys songs on guitar and bass with Expert back when I was stuck on Medium and Hard. They suck for anything complex or remotely good.

Well, I bought guitar hero a week ago. I'm playing mostly guitar expert. I usually get 4-5 stars on songs, but never 6 stars because I always seem to mess up before I can get 100%.

Favorite non-custom rocker would have to be Matt Bellamy. Muse rocks.

I can barely pass the spirit of Radio (live), and I can't pass Scatterbrain at all because I suck.

So yeah, I'm officially bad at expert, but that's not news. So who else bought guitar hero?

They have Spirit of the Radio? Wow, I just might have to get this game, that's one of my favorite songs to drum (next to Fly by Night and The Start of Something Beautiful by Porcupine Tree)

I had the third one but was never great at it, I got to Cult of Personality on Expert but could never beat it =/

I just got 100% on Plug in Baby by Muse. For someone who can't get though a song without making at least 2 mistakes, that's pretty freaking good.

Still have it, still playin' it. The music studio is SOOOOOOo much better this time around, to the point where it's worth tinkering with, which is saying something for me who loves nothing more than grinding a song into a finely polished FC. D:

I agree; I haven't gotten my Van Halen yet (maybe because I'm on PS3 and I didn't mail it for a few weeks) but it looks pretty awesome. But I doubt Neversoft will give us an export option for it until it actually comes out.
