In Character

Name: Sydney (Sid-nee) Bristowe (brih-stoh)
Gender: Female
Age: 3 1/2 years
Eye Color: A very light, greying blue coloration.
Fur Color: Classic timberwolf, reddish browns and brunette hues as well as white along the body in traditional pattern.
Alignment: Light

Personality:
There are really two sides to Sydney. On the one hand, there is the Sydney most people get to know. Her personality, though it did change as she got older, has stayed the same for most. She is not a terribly outgoing person, or terribly outstanding in anything. She is a very bright individual, but is modest when it comes to her accomplishments and strong points. She is seldom shy or outwardly leery of others, but she is not overly out-putting, either. About average, a well rounded personality and an alluring sense of brilliance is about her. But to people who see this side, there is also something that just begs to be uncovered, though no one can really put their finger on it.

However, to those who know her secret (currently only herself), she can be a lot more impressive than even her standard achievements have allowed. When it comes down to it, she works well under tremendous pressure. She's got a do or die attitude, and believes strongly in her cause. If she has to, wolves will be killed for the betterment of the mission. A fight or flight type, she generally prefers to get away before noticed. This is not to say she is a coward; for she is far braver than most a wolf in these parts.

Appearance:
As far as coloration goes, she is true to her species as a timber wolf. Her entire underside is a very light, creamy white. Her ears have always held a reddish hue since she was very young, and they still do now. Along her nose, there is a mask of a darker reddish brunette coloration, which extends in a sort of arrow below her eyes. Above each eye is a small white circle. From the base of her nose upwards is a very dark brunette coloration. Along her back, varying hues of these colors play, cutting off at mid stomach. Her tail goes from dark to darkest, the tip being dipped in the very dark brunette coloration. Her eyes are a shallow misted blue.

In musculature, she is a very lean wolf with many layers of sinewy muscle beneath her pelt, which is generally thickest at her belly and around her neck. This extra thickness would almost make her out to be a more plump wolf, if it was not for the fact that when she moves there is a distinct definition of where her chest and stomach actually end and the fur begins. Her legs are not short, but they do appear to be shorter than average. Overall, she is well toned and lean.

History:
She was born to a large litter of pups and a loving mother. Her father was seldom around as she grew. Her mother would tell her stories of her father when he was away, but she never really understood why he wasn't able to be with her. After she had survived a few weeks in the world, a terrible disease swept through her pack, killing off many of the members; her siblings included. This devastated her at the time, but she was really too young to be conscious of it in later years. The older she got, the more distant her mother seemed to be, which puzzled her. She had always just thought it was because of the loss of her children.

One day, when Sydney had grown to be a little over a year old, her mother disappeared altogether. This was okay for the young wolf, however. She had a strong network of friends that hadn't died in the disaster that took her siblings from her. They went out on their own a lot to the outskirts of the land, fantasizing about what was beyond the borders; and how large the world really was.

Enter Sydney's father.

Once her father returned, Sydney became a very changed wolf. The world lost it's softness in her young eyes as she became exposed to what her father had been doing in all his time away from her. He'd bene on recon missions into the enemy pack's territory (for they did live in a warring pack though Sydney had never known it). He was a sort of double agent now, and he was there to recruit her; to train her to be like him.

She quickly learned the arts of self defense, and quick killing blows. She learned how to be virtually unreadable in every lie she ever told; and how to work under pressure. She was a brilliant agent in this sense. She had also always been a runner, which served her well countless times in the field of battle. She adopted an excellent sense of fight or flight, and the brilliant wolf only became more and more so.

Life became rather monotonous when one was always in peril, and after a year and a half of service to her father, she told him she wanted out. He nodded and watched as his only daughter left into the sunset. Sydney would never know that her mother had really been a spy for the other side, put into her pack to transfer information. Her mother had been caught and held hostage, and Sydney would never be informed. It didn't matter now, she was searching for a new home, and she knew she would find one soon.

You sure have changed since yesterday, Sydney Bristowe.
