x NAMES x_____register your character with a First and Last Names: middle names are not necessary for your screen name, but if you want it in there go ahead. Names are not to contain numbers or symbols; if they do you will be asked to change it.

x CANNON CHARACTERS x_____Cannon Characters are available and can be reserved up to 48 hours, this means that your Character Application must be started within 48 hours. Cannons need to be active so keep that in mind if you want one. If you become inactive, your spot will be up for grabs.

x ORIGINAL CHARACTERS x_____Original Characters are allowed. Please check the availability of creating an original. At times depending on the circumstances certain groups will not be accepted because there are too many. Original Characters will be new arrivals to Little Salem so please keep that in mind. You will need to create your own back-story/subplot. How does your character fit into the plot, who are they friends with etc, don’t be afraid to just jump into a group we are friendly.

x CHARACTER APPLICATIONS x_____Character Applications can be found HERE. You have 1 week to fill out your Application, if you do not post a finished application in 1 week your account will be deleted. Please PM an Admin if you are unable to meet this deadline. If you are deleted, you are allowed to re-register.

x MULTIPLE CHARACTERS x_____Multi-characters are allowed as long as they stay active. Your first character must have 50 posts before you can create a new character. You may have 2 characters at one time , if you want more than that please pm an ADMIN, you must show that you are active and can handle more than 2 for an Admin to approve.

x CELEBRITY CLAIM x_____Celebrity Claims may be reserved while you are doing your Character Application. This means they only last one week. No two Characters can have the same celebrity claim; the only exception would be twins. Characters who have had a significant place in the plot who have left will have their celebrity claim "Killed" and it will not be able to be claimed.

x PERFECTION x_______There is no such thing as perfection. No Mary-sues or Gary-sues will be accepted. All characters had weakness, bad traits, bad habits; we don’t want people who are “perfect”. No one is loved and liked by everyone. It gets boring and even though you are ‘perfect’ no one will like you.

x SPECIAL ABILITIES x_______Because we have Characters with special abilities Please take careful note of the following: ABILITIES/POWERS

x ABSENCES x_______Absences are fully understandable, we all have real lives and sometimes life gets crazy. We ask that if you are going to be absent for more than a 3 days, please post it in the Away Board . It’s easier if you post it rather than pming an Admin or Member as they may be gone as well. If you have not posted and are gone longer than 1 week you will be considered inactive and will be placed in the Dead group. Meaning your character is believed to be dead.

If you are INACTIVE your celebrity claim will no longer be valid and can be claimed by someone else, if you are playing a Cannon, your character will be up for grabs once again. Any positions that you hold, such as Vampire, Witch or Werewolf will be replaced by someone else who wants it and you will have to wait until an opening comes up again if those circumstances are present. Any occupation or any other special position you hold will also be opened for someone else to take.

x SIGNATURES x_______There is no official size for signatures at this point. However, if they start becoming to large we will set a limit. It cannot contain vulgar, sexual or any offensive material what-so-ever. If it does, it will be deleted and you will be warned. This is your first warning. After this you will be officially warned. If you get a warning for Character #1 and then Character #2 has something inappropriate you will get a warning for that character as well.

x EXTERNAL LINKING x_______External links to websites outside of IFS, will not be acceptable and you will be warned. If you have a site and want to tell people about it please post it in the ADVERTISING FORUM. (This does not include outfits you may be wearing for dances, parties or any other special occasion or any other picture that goes with your character.)

x AVATARS x_______The maximum avatar size is 150 x 150. It cannot contain vulgar, sexual or any offensive material what-so-ever. If it does, it will be deleted and you will be warned. This is your first warning. After this you will be officially warned. If you get a warning for Character #1 and then Character #2 has something inappropriate you will get a warning for that character as well.
If you need help re-sizing an image, let an admin know and we’ll try to re-size it for you.

You can find the size of your image by right clicking the image and clicking the Properties button.

x FORUMS x_______Please post in the correct forum. It’s more like be aware of where you are and where you are posting.

x TOPICS x_______Topics that are created but no one responds to them in one week will be deleted. It’s nothing personal; we’re just trying to keep the board clean and organized to make finding topics and posts easier.

x PG-13 x_______This board has a PG-13 Rating according to Invisionfree rules, which means you have to be at least thirteen to sign up. This also applies to older members: when you post keep in mind that there could be younger people reading your posts. This means no XXX-rated posts or vulgar or inappropriate topics. When in doubt ask.

x INSULTS x_______Debates are welcome, but insults and arguments are not. You can have an organized debate or discussion on something, but don't start throwing insults at each other. We have no sympathy for those who start insulting each other and this behavior will not be tolerated. The only acceptable insults will be those that are in character.

x GODMODING x_______No Godmoding. People created their own characters for a reason, usually because they want to play them and not have other people do it for them. It is really annoying and makes people not like you.

x STAY IN CHARACTER x_______Stay in Character while RPing. If you want to post something small around with your post just put "OOC: Out of Character Text Goes Here" if there is something long that you want to post in OOC, go to the OOC forum. We also have a CHAT BOX that you can chat in.

x DYING x_______Characters can die here on IFS but under special circumstances. (Members cannot Die or be Murdered, without permission from the creator of that character and the ADMIN STAFF) also please see "Twist of Fate". If Characters are inactive andhave 10 posts they will be "killed off" for sake of the plot.

x INJURIES x_______Members can be Injured, no one is invincible. By posting the “Password” this says that you have read the rules and understand that your character can be injured. If it occurs in a major plot an admin or mod will PM you to let you know its coming also please see "Twist of Fate"

x SPAMMING x_______Spamming, or posting over and over again with no real reason for the posts. This is highly frowned upon. Anyone caught spamming here will be turned into Invisionfree Inc., which will take action against your IP Address and/or email address.

x LENGTH OF POSTS x_______When posting please post at least a paragraph, which is about 4 sentences. We know that sometimes it is difficult but if we see that you are making it a habit to post one liners you will be warned. Remember, by adding more to your posts it gives someone else a chance to add more to their posts too.

x ADVERTISING IN POSTS x_______ Please don't post advertisements. This includes links off the IFS forums; you can link in the ADVERTISEMENT FORUM. You may not use the Personal Message system to Advertise your site. If you are caught doing this you will be banned.


_______x C O N S E Q U E N C E S x_______

A reason for the warning can be viewed by clicking the percentage of a full warning scale you have. Too many warnings or a bad enough offense may occur in suspension from the site or even banishment. An administrator can, and has the ability to warn, suspend or ban you and withhold the right to do so. By creating a Character Application form it is understood that you have read and understand these rules.
