magicians rule london.but the rise of a resistance might cut their rule short…This Earth is much like our own, though magicians and magic have both been present throughout time. In each great civilization, there has been a resistance with the power to detect magic, see spirits, and even use magical artifacts. Said resistance would eventually overthrow the magician-centered society, bringing civilization in said country or place to ruins. London, however, has had a different turn-out. For over three centuries, it has kept its magician-centered society going strong. Although scatters of resistance has turned up quite a few times in London, it had always been dealt with quietly before gathering bigger numbers. But what would happen if over the last few decades, which were suspiciously devoid of any resistance attacks... what if, in those decades, there were resistance groups, honing their skills and gathering their numbers; waiting for the right time to attack? Would London corrupt in mere years, as had many other civilizations?
The resistance of "mere" commoners has strengthened over the years, and attacks are becoming more frequent. But with the arrival of the Egyptian embassy for unknown matters, the government in London has more than enough to deal with. And on top of that, the spirits' powers are being exhausted, rendering magicians and spirits useless alike, for the magicians have been summoning the spirits away from 'The Other Place' way too frequently. Slowly, the tight reign of power that the magicians have held for centuries is slipping loose. Will it altogether come undone? Or will the magic continue to rule?
