During the night, the High Minister, Gellert Grindelwald, passed away. By his side was his successor, the magnanimous Tom Marvolo Riddle, during his last moments. In a statement to the Daily Prophet, Riddle announced that he will continue his mentor's work, looking out for the Greater Good of the wizarding world.
SEAMUS O'HARE CAPTURED

Infamous murderer and rebel leader, Seamus O'Hare, was captured last night attempt to make an attempt on the High Minister's life. Leader of the known criminal gang, referred to by it's members as the Order of the Phoenix, will stand trial and undoubtedly be sentenced to death for his traitorous actions against the High Minister and the Wizarding World.
MUGGLE BORN REGISTRATION

The Registration Act, also known as Decree no. 423, will be officially put into effect on December 24th, 2003. All muggle-borns, half-bloods, half-beings or anyone else with mixed or unknown heritage must report to the Ministry of Magic that day to be properly inspected and registered. Anyone who is not present that day will be considered an enemy of the state and will be placed in Azkaban to await trial for mutinous behavior.
AZKABAN ATTACKED

According to witness reports and Ministry officials, the Prison of Azkaban was viscously attacked last night by members of the terrorist organization, The Order of the Phoenix. In an attempt to rescue known members of the group, a large group of the rebels took it upon themselves to engage in open warfare against the Government. Members are easily identified as having a magical tattoo of a flying phoenix somewhere on their torso. Any one in contact with one of these dangerous individuals should immeadiately report them to the Ministry.
On a happier note, The Daily Prophet has been informed that the formerly thought to be dead, Seamus O'Hare, was at the scene and captured by the High Minister himself. As of noon, today, he has passed through the veil and will bother the good people of the European Wizarding Community no more.
GROWING SUPPORT FOR ORDER: DEATH TOLL RISES

As the Knight's struggle to keep up, open support for the rebel group the Order of the Phoenix rises as people begin to strike out against the current regime. A protest in the streets of London in front of the Ministry building yesterday erupted in a full out riot when aurors stepped in to break it up and return order to the streets of London. More were killed in the skirmish than were captured, and the Knight's outlook on the safety of our secret and their violent methods became more apparent to all those involved and people who were told of the event. Word of mouth did more for the Order than the Knights, leaving the wizarding population wondering just how the powers that be care for their people. What will come next?
COUP AT THE MINISTRY: HIGH MINISTER MISSING

Over the past two years, the world has grown more and more knowledgeable of the actions of the Government in wizarding Britain. The Knights of Walpurgis and those in power at the Ministry of Magic were dealt their final blow last night when members of the Order of the Phoenix and those against the policies and practice of the regime marched into the Ministry and claimed it back as their own. While still tumultuous, the Order of the Phoenix promises to restore the power of our country back to where it belongs: the people.
Leader of the Order, Remus Lupin, made an announcement concerning what would be next for our people: "An interim Minister, Kingsley Shaklebolt, will be put in place until we can arrange for an election on a grand scale. We have been oppressed for far too long, and can only begin to restore the order we deserve by taking it into our own hands. Things will not be easy for a long time, but what is important is that it will once again be restored to what it should have been."
No date has been set for the election yet, but as it is, the Wizengamot is in the process of being restored and should be able to set a date and announce candidates as soon as they meet.
NEW MINISTER ANNOUNCED

Evan Callaghan, 32, was announced the new Minister of Magic by a landslide majority. The young wizard began working at the Ministry of Magic directly out of Hogwarts, working for the betterment of all peoples through the former, flawed system. While never choosing a side during the war, it is clear to the wizarding population of Britain that he will work to maintain and continue the work started after the fall of Tom Riddle.
As well as Minister, the Wizengamot has announced the placement of Helena Paske Lupin as Headmistress of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The new term will be delayed until September 1st, giving the Headmistress time to reform her staff and work to improve the education currently in place.
ALL CHARGES CLEARED: CONSIDERED ACTS OF WAR

The Minister of Magic, Evan Callaghan, announced today the decision made by himself and the Wizengamot to drop all charges from before the coup, considering them acts of war. While many are outraged, it is believed to be the best move to keep everyone satisfied. While controversial, the decision will also free a number of prisoners, held in Azkaban because of charges set against them by Tom Riddle's regime.
All's well that ends well, or is it? While the Ministry reforms and the world seems to fall back into place, the threat of Tom Riddle, now referring to himself as Lord Voldemort, still exists. Many still claim allegiance to the Dark Lord, and he isn't likely to stay in hiding for long. As his power grows, so does his following. The only question is, will you keep the world as it is, or plunge it back into it's former darkness?
