Description: {Open}

Candra Carlisle - May 21, 2008 11:35 PM (GMT)
Candra stood looking over the cliffs, she kept her distance. She knew that accidents happened on the cliffs. But this was one of her places to get away and think. A gentle breeze picked up swirling fallen leaves, blowing them over the cliff. The wind died down she walked over toward a tree and leaned against it.

She felt horrible keeping secrets. Sighing she picked up a rock and toswed it over the cliff.

Theodore Cole - June 19, 2008 04:42 AM (GMT)
Walking the beach late at night had become a favorite past time for Theo. There was something about the sound of the ocean that brought him just a moment of peace. The air was crisps and fresh and brought back memories of sea bathing with his family. Still most of all it was the chance to think clearly that kept him walking night after night.

Coming up the cliff he saw the figure of a woman, standing alone. She seemed to be caught in her thoughts and he felt bad for interrupting her.

“You should be careful.” He said. “It’s dangerous up here.”

Candra Carlisle - June 19, 2008 06:20 PM (GMT)
Candra gasped, she had no idea anyone else was up her. Turning she saw a boy standing near her. She smilied slightly at him. "Yeah I know. But it helps me some times to throw things." She said with a soft chuckle. "Plus usually nobodys up here." She extended her hand. " Im Candra Carlisle."

Theodore Cole - June 19, 2008 10:24 PM (GMT)
The woman seemed to slightly younger then him, though he was sure that he had seen her face before. It was a small town so this happened more often then not. Not to mention her last name was most familiar.

“It’s nice to meet you Candra Carlisle. I’m Theodore Cole, but I go by Theo.” He said, shaking her hand.

“I’ve been told that throwing things is a great way to relieve frustration.” He joked. “Still with the recent events on the island it isn’t wise to stand too close.”

Candra Carlisle - July 29, 2008 05:42 PM (GMT)
Candra looked back over the edge and then looked back at Theo. "I guess your right. I does help releave my frustrations but I do need to be more careful." She took a step back and sat down on a rock that was near by. She looked to Theo with a soft smile. " So what brings you out here? You releaving frustations too?" She said playfully.

Theodore Cole - July 29, 2008 06:02 PM (GMT)
Theo smiled a sad smile. “I come here to find solace. But to be honest, it does seem to be always just short of my reach.” He replied, unable to hide the sadness in his voice. But he didn’t want to dwell on the topic; it wouldn’t be helpful for him to do so.

“I love the view here, it seems like you can see everything from here. Plus the water is rememorizing from above, so vast. Like a never ending blue blanket.” He added, looking off into the water.

Candra Carlisle - July 29, 2008 06:19 PM (GMT)
Candra didn't want to bring up the matter of him being here anymore. She could tell it was a painful one. He changed the topic to the cliffs. She watched as he spoke of the ocean. It was almost like poetry what he was saying. Looking over the ocean, the never ending blanket Theo had just called it. She loved the Ocean more than anything it was tranquil but yet it held power. She Smiled over at Theo, "I love the view too. It's why I come here, really." Closing her eyes she listened to the sound of the water crashing in to rocks below. Opening her eyes she looked at Theo. "So tell me about youself Theo."

Theodore Cole - July 29, 2008 06:54 PM (GMT)
Theo chuckled. “Well there isn’t much to tell. I live a fairly simple existence. I teach at Little Salem High School. I am a big fan of school and education. So I am always continuing my own schooling. That really is what is most important to me.” He answered, not sure what else there was about him.

“What about you Candra, what is there to tell about you?” He asked with a smile.

Candra Carlisle - July 29, 2008 09:08 PM (GMT)
She really didn't know the people of this town well. Probably because she was gone right after graduating and spent 2 years of her life in Europe. Smiling at Theo " I had no Idea you taught high school. What subject do you teach?"

Candra looked out over the ocean once more, "Well not much to tell really. I was born and raised here. Both my parents are dead. I was raised by my brother. So he was like a father to me." She turned and looked at Theo now. "Then after graduating I left the country and traveled taking photos in Europe. But I eventually got home sick and came home. And thats my life story." She said with a huge grin and her arms wide open as if to say a ta da.

Theodore Cole - July 30, 2008 03:06 AM (GMT)
Theo laughed. “Well that is a good story. I loved to travel, after college I did some traveling myself. But now I mostly stick to the Island. I guess after you seen a few things in the world it’s just nice to have a home to come home to. It really makes you appreciate things. “ He said with a smiled.

“Oh I teach English. I’m that teacher that makes the students read over the summer and write essays. But I know in the end they will be glad that I made them do it.”

Candra Carlisle - July 30, 2008 06:07 AM (GMT)
Candra could relate to Theo. She loved talking to him he didn't judge he was just there listening and talking. When Theo mentioned he taught english Cnadra's eyes widen with suprise. " Really an English teacher? What is your favorite book?" She asked with curiousity.

Theodore Cole - July 30, 2008 02:53 PM (GMT)
Theo laughed. He laughed like he hadn’t in such a long time, and in some ways it was refreshing for him to do so. He had gotten that question so many times before and always his answer was the same.

“I can’t say that I have a favorite, maybe a top ten. Or even a top twenty. I enjoy the classics, of course. But every now and then I become involved with a new book. And I like poetry just as much as I do novels.” He answered.

“What about you, do you have a favorite book?” He asked.

Candra Carlisle - July 30, 2008 04:02 PM (GMT)
Candra figures as much he would have at least a top ten. A smirk played across her face. Bringing a finger up to her chin, "Hmmm, to tell you haven't really thought of it. But off the top of my head any of Jane Austen's novels and im a huge Stephen King fan. But I like all types of books." Her finger fell back to its lap where the other hand was resting. She looked over at him. "Poetry huh? Im not a big fan of it myself. But I do like some of it."

Looking out over the cliffs she watched as the moons beams played acoss the swaying dark waters. "So any girlfriend?" She asked him curious.

Theodore Cole - July 31, 2008 12:50 AM (GMT)
“I’m a little partial to Jane Austen, myself. I know it sounds odd coming out of a grown man, but her literature has been able to stand the test of time. She made relatable characters that end with happy endings. I know many of my female students seem to be the most excited about having to read her books. I’m surprised you don’t like poetry. Are you a fan of Shakespeare?” He responded with a smile. Theo could go on and on about literature. He had made many lifetimes teaching it to wide eyed students.

Getting caught off guard by her second question he laughed. “No not I. I believe you know the saying ‘doctor’s hours?’ Well teachers hours are much worse. I am always bogged down with things to grade. Plus I take classes at Salem College. I like to keep busy and move my education on.” He answered.

Candra Carlisle - July 31, 2008 08:02 PM (GMT)
Candra could not help but chuckle at his responce to her question. "Doctors hours? Come on now Theo... You've at least been on dates?" She asked him grinning. SHe could not believe how easy it was for her to talk to Theo. It was like he was her best girlfriend but in boy form.

Theodore Cole - July 31, 2008 09:14 PM (GMT)
Theo laughed. “And by dates you mean dinner and movie? With the intention of ending the night in a kiss? Or some sort of romantic theme? Then no. I don’t even think I’ve ever been on that kind of date.” He replied. It was true enough, dating was more of a new thing. When he was a human, relationships were more arranged. Maybe there was a brief ‘courting’ but not like the dating people did today.

“What about you? Any dinners and a movie in your past?” He teased.

Candra Carlisle - August 6, 2008 11:23 PM (GMT)
Casting him a glance of "yeah right". "You seriously expect me to believe your not the dating type." She looke dover him carefully. He was handsome, almost beautiful. He had very interesting eyes and a personality to go with it. She raised a eyebrow in skeptisim. "What makes you not get the goodnight kiss or a dinner?"

Candra had to laugh at Theo's question. "Well not really. Boys were never my thing." She grinned to herself a little. "Well till about a month ago." She looked back out over the ocean.

Theodore Cole - August 7, 2008 02:18 AM (GMT)
"What makes you not get the goodnight kiss or a dinner?"

Theo sighed. “I guess it really just comes down to me. I’m fairly old fashioned. I’ve always thought of love as forever. Not a casual date. When I was younger I wanted that happily ever after. I know it seems odd for a male to say it but it’s true. And then, one day my life changed. It became complicated and confusing.” He answered. It was true enough, he didn’t add the Vampire part, he didn’t need too.

“What happened a month ago?” He asked. “If you don’t mind telling me.” He hated to pry, but part of him knew that she wanted to tell someone.

Candra Carlisle - August 17, 2008 10:06 PM (GMT)
She still could not believe it came down to him. But instead of annoying him she decided to drop that matter.

Candra looked out over the ocean. A smile lit up her face. "Well a month ago." She turned and faced him. "You promise not to tell my brother right?" She said knowing it sounded childish but she had to be sure.

She went on hoping she would have his trust. "... A month ago I snuck out just to get away from home and things in my life. I'm really not a rebel I just needed to get out." She said almost feeling like she had to justify her actions. "I went to the Underground to see the night life. I never really planned to stay for long. But I met someone. He made me forget all my troubles. He seemed to like me. It felt great. So we danced and talked. But before he really could say much after that I ran off." She said thinking back on it. She wished she had stayed longer. "But ever sense then I find myself thinking of him. I run into him on occasions. I think I'm falling in love with him. " She looked at Theo's face. "But now I’m not sure he really cares for me." She said with a sigh. She looked at Theo once more. The poor guy just sat there and listened to her silly love story. He was a good person. That is why he sat there and listened no matter how girly it got.

Theodore Cole - August 20, 2008 09:02 PM (GMT)
Theo listened carefully to Candra’s story. Interesting enough it seemed that love was in the air for so many people, and it wasn’t even spring. Of course everyone he knew also had enough drama mixed in to give a normal person an ulcer.

“Have you told him how you feel?” He asked. It seemed simple enough but sometimes when you were in the eye of the storm the things that were most simple or even obvious were the hardest to think of. Sometimes they were even the hardest to do.
