Excerpt 15: Dr. Libiel's Journal
The patients have started arriving... They scare me... The looks on their twisted and contorted faces... What could they have done to be here? Why are they here... I can't bring myself to think of what they could have done to place them here... All I know it's that they are now in my care.
Missing Excerpt 87: Dr. Libiel’s Journal
I have yet to mention where we are… Somewhere in the middle of nowhere. I’ve described the area around the Asylum. Trees… On every side of the building but one. It seems to me, that we are somewhere over in Europe. I recall the flight here. Parts of it anyway.
Excerpt 127: Dr. Libiel's Journal
This will be my final entry as a Dr. I've resigned my position in the hellhole. I can't take it... I can't take the way they talk, the way they act...
Soon after his last journal entry the Dr. disappeared. After this occurrence happened. The Asylum was sent on through his family. Now several generations later, the family seems to be holding out more than the men before them.
The Asylum, is not only a place for the insane... But those who feel they need to be placed here. Many things happen in this mind trap that not many are aware of. Lets see who gets out...
When Dr. Joshua Libiel left Asylum 82 several generations ago, things seemed to spiral out of control, and due to the fact none of his lineage would willingly admit to such problems, they continued on as if nothing was wrong. Various problems arouse: Death, disease and a revolt. Many of the patients tried to make a break for it. They all failed, and none were found alive. Many have claimed the guards had killed them on purpose. ”They weren’t fit for society… They no longer deserve to live.” When their actions were called into question, the Asylum was quickly closed, and those running the place vanished.
As things blew over, the Asylum was reopened under new management. For several years things went well. The patients were kept under control and the faculty members were kept in line. Then new patients were brought in. Many noticed that none of the old patients ever left. It was like they were being kept there. Forced to stay, never to leave. Most of the faculty members dismissed this thought; they figured since the crazies were locked up, there was nothing to worry about.
Once more, several things seemed to happen around the Asylum. The death of a world renowned doctor at the hands of the most dangerous patients known to the public, patients and faculty began disappearing; it was like the place was built on death and chaos.
Now, things have mellowed out again, but for how long this time? Just how long will it take until the Asylum absorbs more lives that don’t seem to matter?
