It's January 25, 2009. It's been exactly 8 months, 10 days, and 3 hours since the hellhounds came for Dean Winchester. All those months ago, in those moments when Sam Winchester watched his brother torn apart, waited as Lilith found amusement in trying to destroy his soul the world blinked out of existence. And when it returned Lilith stood before him powerless against him and his brother in a pool of his own blood.
So I'll stay up all night
With these bloodshot eyes
While these walls surround me with the story of our life
Now the world has fallen apart as Sam Winchester, the boy king, the one hunter powerful enough to rid the world of the apocalypse sits day and night in the bar. Drinking his pain away. He refuses to fight in the war, refuses to help the millions of souls that have already perished at demons’ hands. He doesn’t care. His powers have come in faster than the Yellow-Eyed Demon could ever imagine, but they’re nothing more to him than parlor tricks to get people to leave him alone. The demons that hunt him are thrown back with just a wave of his hand. It’s the only finger he’s raised against them and after several months the demons realized he was of little threat.
Now things are coming clear
And I don't need you here
And in this world around me
I'm glad you disappeared
Few hunters remain and few refuse to open their door against the evil. Like Sam they've lost hope in the world and like Sam they're buying time to the end. But there are some who've resisted. They are called "Rebels" and they've enlisted a variety of humans, beasts, and supernatural creatures. They are the last hope for this world and the last beings alive that can bring Sam back to his senses before the demons find the last of Samuel Colt's demonic gates to hell. If they should fail the world will be lost into a pit of eternal fire.
So I'll stay out all night
Get drunk and fuck and fight
Until the morning comes I'll
Forget about our life
