General impression (ie uptight, quiet, sexual, etc.): Theo is the type of guy that would rather stay home and read a book then go out into a social scene. He is a kind person but sometimes he seen badly because he isn’t the best at social situations. For him, adjusting to the changing times has been a little difficult.

Vital notes on history (ie was a soldier, accidentally killed spouse, former opera singer, etc.):

Born to a fairly wealthy family Theodore Jonas Cole was given chances and opportunities that most in the 1800’s would have killed for. His father was a successful banker and his mother had come from a long line of wealthy business men. He was raised in a large with servants and all the luxuries that the time had to offer.

Still his mother was at best flighty and his father was much too focus on work. As the only son, he had 2 younger sisters Amelia Jane and Josephine Rose, he was taught from an early age that he would be taking on the family once his father passed on. He was educated from an early age and had a strict code to follow that often encouraged his introverted nature.

Growing up things started to fall into place but became complicated when his younger sister Amelia started to rebel. (This really was unheard of in their social class and scene) Amelia, who was also well educated, took a post in a school out in Arizona without letting anyone know. Her disappearance cause much alarm until a letter was finally received telling of her whereabouts. As the oldest and only soon, Theo was sent out to bring back his sister, so to avoid a scandal.

Theo sit off on a long journey out to the wild west, with trains and stagecoaches. It was on a small stagecoach just miles from his destination that his life changed forever. It was taken by outlaws, guns were fired and in the heat of the moments Theo knew he had been shot and was losing his life moment by moment. In this time he remembers seeing a man walk over to him, feeling a sharp pain and then drinking the thickest juice he had in his life.

Three days later he woke up and found himself in a New England town. His life was changed, he was no longer the same man. He took the name Cole, and accepted his new family. In the paper he learned that his mother and father soon passed away from the grief of loosing their only soon. Poor Josephine Rose was forced into marriage with an old decaying former business partner of their father. And Amelia Jane seemed to just disappear.

Now Theo teaches at Little Salem. He enjoys the simple things in life but still wonders about his family and what happened to Amelia Jane.

Brief (less than 500 words, please) sample RP of your character:

Weekends on Little Salem held a special place in Theo’s heart. The work week was always busy with school activities, lessons and grades. Early mornings spend brewing cups of coffee and late nights with cool walks home. But weekends he was able to take his time with grading. He was able to sit on the porch and relax. Or take long walks by the beach. Weekends were his.

This particular Sunday, seemed to be a little lazier then usual. He had managed to finish up a book that he had been working on for a few days. Aside from that little else had been done. Not that he minded, sometimes you needed these days let the stress wash away.

Still getting up from the swing, Theo decided to look around for his family. With the start of school he had little time to spend with them and he wanted to see how they were.

“Anybody home?” He called, as he walked in the door.
