Title: Spontaneous Outings
Description: For non-preplanned events!

Isaac - October 5, 2008 05:54 AM (GMT)
Hopefully this topic can be pinned so those people that don't have anything planned on any day and want to go shooting can post here to get other peoples' attention!

Just put it in this format for easiest understanding..

Time:
Location:
Contact Number:
Duration:

:D

Isaac - October 5, 2008 06:07 AM (GMT)
Da jie Jupiter, can pin this topic? :)

Jeff - October 5, 2008 06:59 AM (GMT)
Just enquiry for the effectiveness of these.
If you suddenly have a plan and want to invite the others to go with you, just wonder if they can read your invitation it. Not all of use always sit in front of internet right ? :P

Isaac - October 5, 2008 07:58 AM (GMT)
Haha, well over time our forum members will realize that when they get up in the morning with no plans, there's always the option of coming here to see if there are any outings being planned on that day that they can join!

Hoping to make this into a big thing :P

Yes, how's your outing ? I hope you didn't go there alone

Isaac - October 8, 2008 04:17 PM (GMT)
Haha, unfortunately.. yes, I did go alone because everyone I tried to get to go along with me were either busy or couldn't wake up in time!

But that's alright, gives me time to practice alone..

Here's one of my shots from today.

Haha ya, the kittens at the SPCA all very cute!

But their claws very sharp.. yesterday got hooked while playing with one of them. :ph43r:

The catchlight in the eyes is not because I improve la da jie.. is because the flash bounce inside the kitten's cage.

Like Jerry, my skill only go up to compact camera :lol:

Hello all,

Been out of circulation for a while due to work.

But come March 21st, I will be retiring for good. Hangcheng-see peh pai...so I fire my lau pan.

I will be available to partake more with the JWP madcaps..day or nite or overnite. as one of my retirement itinerary.

Contact me know at 91158498.

As an incentive, I still have four wheels and don't mind being Ahmad but not across the causeway as I have a phobia about mata-mata over there.

Also don't ask me to go thru the swamp unless you want to help me wash up. :D :P <_<

Isaac - February 22, 2009 03:50 PM (GMT)
Peter,

Matilda House is located directly behind Soo Teck LRT near Punggol 21.

Here's a picture. :)

Will let you know once I visit there tomorrow!

Erm ... what I meant was that the fence was reconstructed again so you may or may not be able to enter the premises any longer.

Btw, I'm no stranger to that place since I'm staying in this area. I've shot there before.

Isaac - February 23, 2009 07:48 AM (GMT)
Oh I see!

I thought you were asking how to get there :P

They've fenced it up huh? If the fence isn't too high we'll try to climb over I guess.. just hope we don't get caught for trespassing which could mean trouble! :o

Not intending on joining us? :)

Would love to bro, but work has to come first. Hope you guys have lotsa fun, however do plan for contigencies in case you're unable to shoot in that area. At least in the end it will not be a wasted trip.

I won't advocate climbing, especially with girls around and do note that the fencing is higher than you'd think it is. Whatever the case may be, be a responsible photographer and take good care of each other in the group.

Isaac - February 26, 2009 03:27 PM (GMT)
Just an update - the Matilda House shoot was a complete bust, and by the time we were done there, all three of us barely had any motivation left to shoot because of the huge failure.

Apparently, the fencing IS climbable, and it's not even that difficult to. However, I may or may not have tripped an alarm when I yanked on a bent fence on one side of the perimeter. On top of that, I spotted 3 cameras that are monitoring the surroundings and thus rendered it rather impossible to enter without being spotted.

Conclusion: Matilda House is no longer a location of photographic interest because unless you are willing to take the risk of entering - there's no other way than to shoot through the really small gaps between the fencing.

Jupiter - February 26, 2009 03:44 PM (GMT)
bro,

Thanks for the infor...

Why they let the house rotten huh??? :(
