Very sharp.

I presume the fly is the subject, not the flowers.

As such, I find the composition a little unbalanced. seems like both the fly and the flowers are the main subject. Also, looks like the fly is going to "fall out" of the left hand edge of the photo.

Personally, I would crop the photo to either:

[a] centre more on the fly, or perhaps
[b] centre on just part of the fly, say, the compound eye...

Just my two cents worth. I'm a complete newbie and would have been very happy to have taken such a brightly coloured and sharp photo :)

Hi Cecil,

You're right about the composition. Remember about the importance of creating space in front of your subject? A little copping would certainly help, and the contrasting colours certainly add a punch to the overall image.
