Hi, Image posted today...any comments? What are your observation?

nice leading lines that seem to lead my eyes to the mosque in the distance. problem is that the mosque is obscured by the palm trees.

also, photo feels a bit lop-sided as building on the left seem taller than buildings on the right (they aren't taller, are they?)

personally, i feel that the left side of the photo, near the bottom (where the bicylcle is) looks a bit too busy. perhaps if we move forward along the path, we could avoid the bike/clutter and get a clearer shot of the mosque at the end of the path. also, stand a bit closer to the left of the path to make buildings similar in height?

i like the sky and clouds! :)

Hi Cecil,

By moving forward and slightly towards the left of the pic, the rows of showhouses would be more balanced. "Leading lines" composition requires a lot of careful composition from the photographer, as just in the case of the "Kampong Glam arrow" (if you remember :P)

For mi the palm trees tree were in the way, what if I shot a vertically will it be better? Only can see the road leading to the mosque and the palm will be at the side...

somethin like tat...

Have to move to the right so tat the road will look equal.. Also move forward use the both side of the tree to frame the photo... can?

Hi Luke,

Good analysis, yes you can do that. By doing what you suggest, you will actually compose a "cleaner photo". However, the wide angle shot would product a more dramatic picture if it is composed properly.

Either one works, and it also depends on the preference of the photographer when he's taking the shot.
