Hey guys/girls,
I want to introduce myself. I am Dr. Jeff. I have eyes check for you.
Can you see the two pictures below and see where is the sharpest text ?
For example, if you think that the sharpest are :
- at 10 mm in front of the horizontal line, just say 10 mm front.
- at 10 mm in back of the horizontal line, just say 10 mm back.
From this result, I can check if you need to wear spectacles or not.
So where is the sharpest text in your opinion ?
I post 2 pictures from 2 takes with different angle.
Enjoy ! :D

Haha great stuff Dr. Jeff. Just did my eye test recently, glad I'm still a 6/6.

Well the reason I post this topic is because I want to check up my lens. The result is from my lens with my camera.
From lens A 1st test looks like the sharpest point is 1 mm front, but from lens A 2nd test looks like the sharpest point is 1 mm back.
What's your opinion ? I am not perfectly satisfied with the result due to the price of the lens.
I look like joking but actually I am serious asking ;)
I talk about photography related things but someone moved this topic

For both of Lens B check-up, the sharpest text is 2 mm behind ?
Looks like back focus ? :(

There may be just a slight tinge of back focus for lens B. However having said that, do run ur tests under good lighting condition and constant settings. What apperture are you testing the lens at ?

Actually lens B is 50mm f/1.4. I tested it at f/2 to avoid the softness at the widest opening.
I put the chart on flat surface and tested it with and without flash. The result I post here is only from test with internal flash.
The method of test is correct right ?
