Back from Siem Reap not too long ago and going back in 2 weeks time. My mum kept asking me why I visit Siem Reap so often, I told her it's for work but what I didn't tell her is "for the people"!!!! :P Nope. I dun have a secret BF there, the folks esp the kids capture my heart (as what Doc Deng always say)...Ask the guys who been there in Mar and they shall tell you more...

Been to few local schools during the 1 week 'holiday'...For those going to Siem Reap, it is worth the effort to have the guide to bring you to a local (poor) school. Just bring some balloons and raisin for the kids, they will appreciate that very much...if you have a deeper pocket, bring some stationery for the entire school (jus don't give them money)!!!

The kids are easy to take...must go if you have time...juz bring along something samll like balloons for them, a moment of joy for them (since we cannot provide a life time of happiness). ;)

Yeah yeah, if we can help them and spread happiness with them why not.

I consider to go there if have a chance.
It is safe there ? No robber ? Burglar ? Thief ?
I am a bit worried about safety if going to a remote place.

Yup...juz by giving a little, it may means a lot to them. For our upcoming trip, we will visit a local school and will be donating stationery for 438 students. Of course, it will not be possible without the support from good Samaritans.

No worries, Siem Reap is safe, no place is 100% safe anyway ;) (not even S'pore)....juz don't go off track!

Get a good local guide, u will need him to bring you around..u can't rely on public transport... :rolleyes:
